South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I know the moment I've got someone behind me and it only takes one glance over my shoulder to see that it's Raven. I feel the surge of fear running down my spine because I know she's still not in her right mind and I quicken my pace even more, running for all I'm worth since there's no way I'm going to abandom my mission to get to the other werefox just because I might be in danger too. As I get closer to the den, I feel the air rush past me as jaws snap right over my haunches. I gasp and dart to the side, using my back claws to dig up some dirt and fling it toward her face, hoping to blind her for a few seconds to give me some time to get to the den. I don't have much time to talk to the werefox before I find myself having to rush in just to get away from Raven, knowing I can't just stay outside the den and give her space to adjust to me without putting myself at risk. I make sure to only go just inside the hole and there I remain, just at the entrance, not wanting to push myself in on the other fox and scare her even more.

I can hear Raven outside and I glance over my shoulder, a single shudder running down my back at her hulking form. I hear her saying that we're safe from the horse but the last bit about us being hers lets me know that she's still not completely in control. I gulp, knowing that to go out of the den now would probaly result in me getting my head bit off. She must want us as her prey because Raven in her right mind would not call me her property. She would call me her friend, her companion, but never hers. My jaw clenching in determination to help my friend as soon as I'm done with the werefox, I blink a few times in the darkness to adjust my eyes and look back at the other werefox in here.

And yet a moment or so later, my ears flicker back toward the entrance when I hear hooves now thundering over the earth. The horse. A groan of frustration pushes past my lips as I flick my ears back and look at the entrance, just able to see his hooves come into view as he faces where Raven must be, protecting the den. My tail flicks behind me in agitation, knowing that him being here will not help Raven get over her feral mind in the slightest since she didn't like the guy in the first place. My lips twitch for a minute as I look out the den and then I feel it. The sudden change in temperature and I sniff the air, my eyes widening in surprise and confusion. I glance back toward the werefox for a minute, wondering if she's doing it but when I get no hint that she is, I look back toward the entrance and sniff again. I smell coldness, a lot of coldness and controlled on one area, seemingly right outside the den. My eyes narrow and I consider peeking my head out to check it out but then I move my ehad enough to see the horse's focused eyes and I know for a fact now that it's him doing it.

A gasp escapes my lips. Raven! I watch him take another step forward and I growl softly in my throat. He must be doing something to her! I recall the memory of him slamming her against the wall by the throat the party, just for calling him an ass and slapping him for talking about her own assets and my body tenses. I tilt my head then, hearing him speak to Raven, something about finding her senses or taking a nap. I don't like the sound of that but is he trying to bring her out of her feral mind? My ears flicker in confusion for a minute. As he turns his attention to the den, I take another step back further into the den and growl at him again, this time more openly so he can hear it. His question makes my tail flick again.

"She doesn't do your bidding and neither do we."

But the moment the words escape my mouth, I note that other fox already moving out of the den.

"No, wait!"

I call out after her but to no avail. Growling in frustration now, I move out after her, my hackles instantly lifting when I see the horse in all his glory. I feel the fear tugging at my body and I use that power to pull my shield up, the rippling of the air the only indicator that anything is different as I drape it around myself and the other fox. I stop at her side, turning my head to note the wound in her hip now that I can see it in the better lighting. A whine drips from my lips as I think about the pain she must be in. It looks almost like she got shot. I've seen my share of bullet wounds from my home pack. There was always farmers and home owners who didn't like seeing a fox run across their land.

I glare at the horse for a moment as she tells him she doesn't mean harm and I make a quick decision, moving closer to her side.

"Hold on, this will only take a moment."

I slowly reach my muzzle out to touch her hip, making sure to touch just above the wound so I'm not putting her in any discomfort. I've only been able to use my healing power when I touch the person so far so this is the only way I know how to work it for now. I close my eyes, my body shuddering at the thought of doing so while there's a horse and wolf in close proximity but I try to block everything else out, everything but her damaged tissue. I can slowly see it in my mind as it mends itself from the inside out, the bullet slowly pulling backwards out of her flesh until I hear the soft clink of it as it hits the ground beside her. I keep my eyes closed, seeing the rest of the flesh mend and resew itself until there's nothing left but a tiny white scar on her hip. Only then do I let out the breath I was holding and re-open my eyes, pulling my muzzle back slowly as my legs tremble beneath me.

I learned early on that using this power comes at a price. It always weakens me afterwards. I feel my fear shield wavering but I clench my jaw, fighting to keep it stable until I can figure out what the horse wants. I turn back to him and growl, lips curling back and I glance back over my shoulder at Raven before glaring at him.

"What did you do to her?"
