Raven could not blame the girl for being hesitant with her presence. If someone had suddenly appeared in front of her while reading a book, she too, would not take kindly to it. Especially when a complete stranger came to tear her off the bench. Yet the curly-haired woman felt she was doing something right. To allow another Were to fall into the trap was something she could not allow. It did not matter if Clarie was pack or not. A life was a life and it was equal in her eyes. That sad small simper remained on her mauled face as she ignored the protest and grabbed firmly on her hand and shoulder. While the hole in the ground began to open wide revealing the sharp silver spikes below, her grip only tightened. Dragging the girl back to safer grounds she would gingerly let go stuffing her own hands within her jean pockets. Shrugging her shoulders as the younger girl spoke her gratitude she would turn her head around looking for anything out of place. Soft words tumbled out gently as those blue-grey eyes scanned the area.
"You really should be on your highest guard at all times, especially when you are alone and you are here where it is not safe. Dark Hunters are frequent in this area and they will put any sort of trap down regardless if it kills a supernatural creature or not."
It was the sound of some sort of object whizzing just above her head that caused the girl to grab Clarie's arm and yank her down to the ground. Turning her head around noticing a pair of Dark Hunters making their way towards the two Weres. A rather loud bang could be heard that caused other patrons in the park to runaway screaming. It was no surprise that the hunters would use a gun, but out in the open where everyone could see just wasn't wise. Shadows began to swirl around the duo as it began to blanket the ground. Covered by the shadows she began to change revealing just what creature she was. The obsidian oddly marked lupine looked to the girl as her teeth quickly grabbed hold of the large book. Her voice gently pressed into the other's mind in a calm, but worried tone.
"Come on we can lose them in the woods...I'll carry the book. Don't be afraid of the shadows."
Another loud shot could be heard and without looking back she began to run for the woods, the shadows following her and still encircling the girl.
