South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I only knew her for the yearly slain;
and wept and weep until she comes again

The ancient Hunter had never been so disgusted with others of her kind in the city before. The Council had become pitiful, run by idiots who were foolish enough to execute a pathetic attack on the Witchery that was owned by a particularly powerful witch whose connections were of equal skill. Rowena Metcalf kept dangerous company in the likes of Serafina Dubois and Davante Dorian; the latter two witches were high on the list of the Council's most wanted. The male witch was exceptionally bad at covering his tracks, but so far it had proven futile to even attempt to take him down. Be it because of the nature of his powers or his immediate relations to strong witches, Davante had alluded the Council a handful of times. Anubis was more than happy to remain patient, though, as he like the rest of his kind, would make a mistake sooner or later and reveal a weakness that could be preyed upon. Until then, she was keen on allowing his existence, although she did want to point out to the Council that it was she who would be a great asset in the elimination of all three witches on their list. It was in her good grace that Anubis didn't offer criticism of the horrendous attack on the Witchery; later, though, the Hunter found said event festering on the forefront of her mind. With such restlessness brewing, she had accepted other targets in an attempt to apply a metaphorical antibiotic to the infection the witches posed.

Perhaps it was a sign of the fate of her most recent targets that Anubis found herself prey to the whims of a volatile storm front, drenching her as she walked through the tree line surrounding the park. As the trees dripped rain on her, Anubis was reminded of the way storms hardly fell on her city â€" or what had been the prime of Cairo so many millennia ago. It had been a fantastical sight, watching storms roll over the Nile as if Gods themselves sent waves of clouds and rain; but here? Now? The sky was a dank sort of gray, and quite literally dampened any desire Anubis had to service the Council in any way shape or form. Perhaps it was a twist of fate that in a nearby shadow lurked a Hunter that Anubis had accepted as another ancient, almost sentinel of a being. She knew of him from his shop as she had frequented the café numerous times, though her interactions with it's owner were limited. Decidedly unamused with the targets that apparently, both individuals had been given, Anubis turned her dark eyes to rest upon the ancient Hunter who surely trusted his sword more than any breathing entity and with a wry shiver, her body took the form of the man in near her and morphed into it's perfect mirror image.

"Good evening, Alexander," She began, her voice marred by the bare Egyptian accent that tangled her words and rolled her 'r's. "It is shame that the Council found such ferocious, dangerous beasts of beings that they required both of us to host an extermination."
