He barely finished his thought before the man appears directly in front of him, cutting him off and making him jump back and scream, again. "FUCK, MAN! REALLY?!" If Darien's heart condition had been anything more, he would have probably dropped dead right there. He grabs his chest, feeling it pump with such force it was making his sternum hurt like hell. Just leave me alone, Goddamn! He notices his body language, and clearly this was a man who was use to always getting his way. He clearly thought himself above Darien in every aspect and this annoys him. It annoyed him how he was toying with him, and it annoyed him by his rather large ego.

'Are you lying to me?'

Once again, Darien had a million smartass comments he wanted to say but he doesn't. He just gives the man a look of 'really?'. He knows a lot about Fae .. this is unnerving. "Did you watch a nature documentary about Fae mating rituals? Get away from me, Jesus." He's about to walk past him when ... what? He couldn't move his feet, at all. Nothing. He looks down, then back up as he sees him holding his hand up. "What are you doing? Let me go!" This is like some Star Wars shit! What the fuck! He panics, feels like he wants to cry (but he chokes back the tears) and he gets mad. Really, really mad. He sees the man raise his phone up and Darien has his hand up, flipping him off just as he hears the click. Oh God, he's some fucking weirdo. He's gonna kill me. He's gonna rape me. Oh God! "Let me go!" He feels like throwing the ball at this man's face, but hearing him talk stops him - for now. This was actually kind of painful. It felt like gravity was going to squish him into jelly.

Database? What was he talking about? He knew a lot (almost too much) and Darien isn't quite sure what to make of this. He decides not to answer. He already knows more than I like! And then, finally, he feels his feet come free. He had still been fighting to run, so suddenly having the ability to move causes him to stumble forward and fall onto the ground awkwardly. He's covered in mud now, and furiously he gets up. Pointing a finger at the blonde stranger like a father scolding his son (and this asshole needed one, badly). "You know what-" He's cut off, and a curiously confused look crosses his face. "Wait .. what?" Hunt me!?!? Darien doesn't even hesitate to think he's joking, but hearing the deal was the most terrifying thing in his entire life. "Are you serious!??! Park gates!?" He starts counting, and Darien is scared to death. "Come on, we can talk this out! I didn't do anything!" He's reaching for his bow, he's drawing it. "Dude!" In a flash, with no time to react, an arrow flies past his right cheek, cutting it open and grazing him perfectly. It stings. HE'S NOT FUCKING KIDDING!

Almost childishly, Darien throws the red ball as hard as he can at the crazy guy, drops his backpack and starts running in the opposite direction. He jumps over the small stream and he has no idea where he's going. He could have easily ran up the bank to where that sleepy little neighborhood was, but he wasn't thinking straight. He was scared shitless! I don't wanna die! He's running smoothly, avoiding fallen logs and rocks and he's not even counting. Has it been 30 seconds?!? Like an idiot, he looks back to see if the man was now chasing him when he doesn't see the downward hill he's running towards. He loses his footing on a muddy puddle, and before he knows it, he's tumbling down, and down. Rolling out of control and sliding.

He lands on his ass, and everything hurts like hell. But he's silent, and cussing inside. There was no way this was fair. This man was stronger, experienced. What the hell did Darien do to deserve this?!? He can feel it in his gut now that this man did this for a living. He hunted people like Darien. Was this really happening? He struggles to get up, breathing so fast and heavily. His heart wanted to just give up. He starts to run again, heading towards what sounded like another stream, but a larger one. His elbow ached and bending it wasn't possible - was it broken? He runs behind a very large tree's trunk and stands against it, needing a moment to register what was happening, what to do, where to go. And one thought kept crossing his mind.
