South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Later, Edie was sure that she would be mortified by the way that she held to Kato as though she needed to use him as a shield, but for now she was grateful for his existence near her. She could tell, really, that he was distracted by the music, their voices having to pull him back as Edie squirmed a bit. Kato didn't seem angry, but he'd been so nervous about her Were form with his mother. But he didn't seem upset, and neither did Maeve, so the girl merely shook her head in response to the question. "Err. No, I'm not a rhino. I'm a lot... smaller." She brushed her hair out of her eyes, avoiding the gaze of the other woman. "I'm a fennec fox? In my Were form, I'm only about..." She moved her hands gently, indicating the small size of her fox form. The blush that crept into her features was immediate, the girl moving immediately to reclaim her grasp on Kato. She was so much smaller than they all were here, so different. She knew that this was only temporary, and yet the sense of not belonging crept so desperately into her, making the normally self-assured woman doubt every move she made.

She knew so little about the culture, knew so little about anything that she was experiencing. It was different than when she went to Sacrosanct. Yes, there were differences there than when she was in England, but at least they spoke the same language, did the same basic things. Here was completely different, and the girl felt so nervous that she had to resist the urge to curl into herself entirely and go back to the hut and lay under the blankets. It was with that desperate need to keep Kato close that she'd questioned about going to market, noticing the way her boyfriend squirmed beside her. "What?" She said softly, though it was only seconds before Meave launched into the explanation that men didn't go to market. There was something distinctly terrifying about going alone without Kato, even though she doubted there would be any harm that would come to her if she went with Kato's sister. It was that level of unease that had her wrapping her arms around Kato's body, pulling herself tight into him. "I... okay... I..." She stuttered out, clearly wantng a way out of the trip without being rude.

The girl was surprised when Kato insisted he would come, Edie's eyes flitting up to his in shock. It took her a moment to realize the brief argument that went on between the pair of siblings, knowing full well that her request of Kato was wrong, and that his insistence to go with her was even more wrong. She had just peeked up over to Meave as she moved to leave, noticing the thin lipped look that was given to Kato, followed by the smile that was offered to Edie. The fox gave a small nod, smiling weakly as she watched the woman go before she rounded on her boyfriend. "No," She said firmly, placing a hand against his chest as she peered up at him, turning in his arms to face him. "I... she said men don't go to market. You... you can't come. I... I don't want to be that girl. I don't want to be this girl. I don't want to cling to you and be afraid, even though I am right now. I'll go... I'll go with Meave in the morning by myself."

The demand made her own stomach churn, the girl nearly about to vomit from the nerves that had settled in her stomach regarding the whole situation. But this wasn't her; this frightened, culture-shocked creature wasn't her. It was hard, certainly. All the girl wanted to do was curl up in the hut and pull the blankets over her head and hide, but no. She came here to be with Kato, to be supportive of him. This was what she had to do to get him to feel comfortable staying with her in Sacrosanct. One afternoon walking to the market alone with Meave wouldn't kill her â€" unless the sunburn did, of course. "I'll be okay. I promise."

She pushed herself up on her toes, sealing her lips over his with a chaste kiss before she grabbed his hands, finally ready to answer the question he'd posed of her. "I would love to dance with you." She said happily, grabbing ahold of him. No, she was determined to rid herself of the anxiety that plagued her, and as such, she found herself being the one to tug him towards the bonfire. It was her that pulled him into the people dancing, flashing Mosi a smile before she rounded on her boyfriend, happily moving to dance with him. Even despite her nerves, at least she knew she could lose herself in the dancing. The music was the first thing that made her feel comfortable, and she was glad to let herself smile and dance with him.
