if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Although Alexis was her primary priority, the excitable young girl was hardly oblivious to her best friend's best friend. After all, this was a great chance to expand her small circle of friends and her mother had always taught her to be a good host. She didn't want to disappoint her in the slightest! Her voice hardly even wavered as she glanced up from her explanation of those oranges to shoot her soon-to-be ground batting lightly at the balloons. Had they never seen balloons before? Even she had seen balloons and she had practically lived in the middle of nowhere! She hardly commented on it yet, however, simply offering both women a bright smile as Raven came to join them with the idle inquiry of why the small oranges were her favorites. Abigail couldn't help that almost guilty look upon her features. "Well, they are a lot sweeter than other oranges. They are like the candy of the orange world! Have you never had them either? I got extras of them all just in case we really liked one!" She exclaimed, oh yes, Abby had come to this party totally prepared on the food front! It was with that in mind that the giddy redhead moved towards that dining room table to show off everything else that she had been working so diligently on.
She knew Alexis would know exactly what was inside those rectangular wrapped items. There was little, really, that should have been a surprise. She had given her friend everything she had asked for! That small shrug on Raven's shoulders was merely met with a knowing smile. She was sure the woman would understand later when they were all unwrapped. Hopefully, she too might take pleasure in reading those novels with Alexis. The idea of it, however, made the girl momentarily fret over whether or not those books would be new to Raven too. She sure hoped so! There was nothing better than getting lost in a new book with someone else! Abby pushed such worries aside for now, however, instead jumping easily to those cupcakes, near insisting the pair take the remainder home for their friends back on their big boat. That assurance that they would like them was meet with another grin from the girl, at least, until Raven muttered that they would all be eaten by two people that she certainly didn't know. She couldn't help the giggle that left her lips at so many being eaten so fast! She nodded eagerly at Alexis' proposed solution, pausing only to add, "If they find them, we can always get more too! Don't worry! You can try them all eventually!"
It was on that very notion that Raven reached forward to grab one of those chocolate cupcakes with Alexis soon following suit. It was only once her guests were served that Abigail herself reached out for a cupcake of her own, choosing one with white colored frosting. A grin of glee crossed her lips as she peeled off the wrapper, biting into this one herself. "Mmmm...." She could hardly help that sound of satisfaction within her throat that cupcake fully stopping her from answering that question that was suddenly presented to her. Thankfully, Alexis seemed willing enough to answer whilst her mouth was filled. She chewed on that cupcake, swallowing only to add, "Yup! Your boat is really really big! I'd never seen anything like that before and the inside is huuugeee! It must be neat to live there, huh?" She inquired, her gaze dancing at the idea of having such a large mobile home, never mind the fact that the Ark had yet to move. "Have you guys not seen balloons before?" Abigail continued before taking another bite from that muffin. Oh yes, these were absolutely delicious. She could get into this birthday thing!
