West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

We were chasing the thunder inside the storm;

What was so wrong with someone having your ass for a change? There was not a damn thing wrong with allowing someone to pick up the slack every now and then. Especially someone that certainly deserved no less. Not that she truly knew the feeling, she would probably feel funny about it too. She owed him, more than she cared to admit. She had seen him free of his granite armor he so encased himself with. But she knew better, she saw those gaps in that very truth, those slivers of vulnerability he offered her. He could cling to that carefully placed, thick armor all he wanted but this cunning wolf didn't buy into it. Not for a flying fat second.

For a moment there seemed to be careful consideration, as he offered her more information. Still so very cautious which how he worded things, offering just enough. Why he had bothered keeping it a secret she wasn't sure. How curious, she peered at him and that perfectly plastered mask on his stoically handsome features. She listened despite the lack of details. Shake up some gangsters for money? Oh goody, that did sound like fun. "You should lead with that next time." She admitted unphased by this seemingly brittle explanation. "You are in luck, I happen to excel in these kind of.. missions and hopefully just as adept keeping you in one piece." The tease was so very tame and yet she wielded it all the same, even despite the unreadable mood he was in. Those feral golden eyes still seemed to gleam. Regardless, it had sounded like just the distraction she wanted, it was only a bonus that she excelled with these questionable predicaments. "They must really be arrogant to try and powerplay an alpha." She nearly murmured her observation as Tetradore quite easily loaded the last duffle bag and untied the last knot that kept the boat attached to the ark. If they had half a brain, they would be prepared that Tetradore would come to retrieve what was owed. To power play an alpha that could disembowel them with a mere twitch of those sharpened talons, they must have felt ready for whatever he threw at them. It made the she-wolf wonder what more was left to that little story, what were they really after? Well, regardless, it was a good thing she was here then.

How he seemed to underestimate what she was capable of, it was almost insulting if she weren't confident in her own prowess. He truly had no idea of the skillsets she possessed, including how good her aim was with a weapon. Of course, a gun wasn't her first choice, no she preferred tooth and claw, using sharp wit and lack of mercy with her gaping jaws. Any asshole could fire a gun, but only someone calculating and cunning could fight and outsmart. Unfortunately, the world never really played fair and guns gave morons an unfair advantage. Why not even the odds a little, especially when that meant the difference between winning and losing, it was a no-brainer.

He must have gotten some distorted view of her, she gave him a pointed look, a daring little grin flashed upon her lips. Well then, he would be in for one hell of a surprise. She could smell the gunpowder anyways, so there had to be some sort of firepower on board. "Please." She nearly scoffed. "Try me." She dared there was a sense of challenge within her words, yet her stance remained entire casual. "As long as there is something in there for me to play with, when things get less than pleasant, it doesn't really matter." There was something ominous in that statement and she wasn't going to play innocent.

She asked where they were going and he explained that they were heading to another boat east. She knew east, but knots? That was boat speak for... something. "20 Knots?" She questioned before musing to herself, knowing it was nautical lingo she hadn't the faintest idea of. It was this in where she gave herself away. She anticipated that they were going to catch them by surprise somewhat. That was the best way to do it, catch them caught off guard. She was hardly worried in the slightest, well maybe being out in the middle of the ocean in a possible firefight did worry her a little. Not that she would let it show, you see she had a pristine mask as well.

His voice reached out to her and her trailing eyes over all those complex controls searched his face. Surely he was joking about letting her drive this thing. But he had given her some room so she could scoot in between him and the wheel, it looked so terribly inviting. How different could it really be in comparison to a car? One of those levers must be intended for speed, the wheel was to steer. The flashing lights and buttons and curious screens, well, she didn't really need that, did she? Hell, there were so many buttons. But at least the thing was on and neutral, she has this, or so she thought. "You don't need to ask me twice." There was no way she was going to let him back out now. Mira couldn't hide that impish gleam from him.

There were moments when the panther king seemed so distant and cut off from the world and then there were moments like this when he seemed so different. There was something about him that drew her to him and she couldn't quite pinpoint exactly what it was but it was something tangible to her. He was certainly a difficult man to read but her gut she could rely on and her gut trusted the were-king.

She slid in between Tetradore and the wheel and even with the lava in her veins she was still very aware of the heat that radiated from his body. All too aware of the close proximity of his masculine form. She was thankful for those questions as she focused on those instead of how distracted she was at that very moment. "Hmm. Does a canoe count?" She knew very well he didn't mean a canoe and this thing was by far much more complex than a simplistic canoe. They were simply drifting out to sea now, the motor purring as if it ached to be used to its full potential. She very purposely put both hands on the wheel as if to get a feel of it. She turned her head slightly to glimpse at the man behind her, amusement within her eye. "I haven't been on anything like this, I was basically landlocked for most of my life. But you can't back out now... I can't promise I won't sink us, but I promise I won't do it intentionally." Hmm, now all she had to do was figure how to speed this thing up. It had to be this lever thing here, her hand hovered over it with slight hesitation.

I'd rather be dangerous;
