She didn't really understand exactly what they were looking for but the matter that it was important to Tetradore was enough to make it important to her. She wanted to help him out however she could and it felt good to be useful. When they reappeared in the warehouse, she cleared her throat awkwardly as she stepped back from Tetradore. It's not like she'd been pressed to the chest of many men in her lifetime. Luckily Tetradore didn't even seem to notice, turning quickly to the task of getting out crowbars for them to pry the crates open with. She took it gratefully, though she was a little puzzled as to how it worked. She wasted no time in watching Tetradore pry up the wood on the first crate just to see how it was done before she nodded to herself and quickly went to work on another crate nearby. She wasn't as methodical as Tetradore, picking random crates to open, ones that gave her a "hunch."
Maybe it wasn't the best way to go about things but since there seemed to be a lot of crates in here, she didn't figure it made much of a difference. She was sure Tetradore was feeling the pressure as they opened one crate after another with no luck. About the time she was feeling a little hopeless about this whole thing, she saw the box hidden in the corner and made a noise to alert Tetradore. He was at her side in no time, reaching in to get the box and open the clasp. She raised a brow in curiosity, eying the coins he looked so thrilled to see with apprehension. She didn't know what was so great about them but she was just glad to have helped out. Then as he turned to her and asked if she smelled something, she sniffed the air and immediately her blood ran cold. Smoke.
She was still deathly afraid of fire. Her heart started thumping and she felt herself tense and freeze as she met his gaze, her own wide in shock. "Fire." She whispered the words in a quaking voice, suddenly feeling very much helpless and frantic. Her eyes searched the warehouse, suddenly desperate for escape. She looked toward the only door she knew and ran toward it, yelping as she reached for the handle. "Ow, it's hot." She knew what that meant. The fire was on the outside of the building, probably all around them. She stepped back as black smoke billowed in from underneath the door. As she touched the wall beside her, air hissed through her teeth as she jerked it back. Yep, it was hot too. Someone had torched the warehouse from the outside. What was their luck that it was pure coincidence? She looked back at Tetradore, her breathing almost in pants at this stage as panic threatened. "What do we do?"
