East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

There was no denying that the connection between the pair of individuals was a decidedly complicated and altogether messy affair. From bringing about her death and transformation at a simple 'hello' to pilfering the woman from the depths of hell itself, Tetradore had found himself nearly magnetized to the otherwise demure girl. It was as if fate had strung them together before pushing them out into the depths of space to continually orbit each other for an infinity despite whatever satellites so pulled them away. In a way, it should have been beautiful were they not wrought with torment and torture and now - the final thing that had so bound them together had been sniped away with pointed teeth and sharpened stake. Now there was nothing but memories of those shared moments, moments in which the entirety of Isolt's life had so sharply veered off the path she had once set for herself. He understood, vehemently and without question, how utterly overwhelming this newfound sensation of freedom was, even if he himself hardly carried the blood bond that connected Isolt to her maker in a way he could not possibly fathom. His own continued existence at the hands of the woman for so terribly long had been enough for him to grasp how utterly awful things must have been for his companion, enough so that he'd seen fit to too care for this aspect of the aftermath for her perhaps as much as he had brought about its initial cause.

It was nearly instinctual, the way his body stepped forward to so embrace the woman as ruby tears traced trails down her porcelain cheeks. "Shh, everything's okay now." The words fell naturally from the man's lips, even if he didn't entirely believe them. It was the only words that left his lips, the man willing to remain as Isolt simply cried out the emotions that so wracked her frame. There were no shames in tears, he was assured, and as so he made no effort to simply stop them from occurring rather than the infinite patience that his own body was able to offer. He spoke naught a word when her tears slowly subdued to but hiccuped sorrow before, finally, he heard the simple sentence that so quietly left her lips. "You don't have to.." He responded, his emerald eyes glancing down towards her. After all, Tetradore fully believed that this was his responsibility to do. It finally brought everything full circle and finally, he had cleaned up the mess he created for her in the only way he was perhaps ever capable of doing.

Tetradore's gaze shifted slowly away from her as she continued, uttering those words that he himself felt so thoroughly. He had spent nearly eighteen years of his life within the halls of that cruel vampire. It was curious to think that he'd spent far longer of his life within captivity then the freedom that she now so fondly spoke of. Tetradore could scarcely remember what true freedom felt like. His head shook side to side after a moment's consideration, "No, it doesn't feel real." He uttered softly in response, his emerald gaze gravitating to that spot on the now polished floor where Risque had laid but earlier that very same morning. It was perhaps even more surreal for him then he could possibly attempt to explain. That shadow that so haunted him, that made him into the person he was today....was gone. Now, he hardly knew what to do with his life with the knowledge that it was finally, entirely, his own.
