The sun had set over the horizon only just an hour or so ago and still, the young vampire had yet to decide what to do with her increasingly longer evening. With autumn once again reigning, her "days" had gradually increased while the mortal inhabitants of the world groaned with every passing moment of diminishing daylight. Although Chizue understood well their dislike of her eventide, not a single complaint would ever leave her lips. She enjoyed each breath of life she was given, relishing in those delicate moments beneath the moon that her life was now so confined too. The asian vampire leaned out her bedroom window in the Eastern side of town, her elbows rested upon the window sill, her hands nestled against her cheeks as her dark, chocolate eyes stared upwards are the large, round, and ever luminous sphere. It was a beautiful night sky - that the young woman could hardly deny. There was not a cloud obstructing her view of that perfect blackness, the stars were out in full force, glistening and gleaming in a way that made Chizue stare at awe and yet, for all the wonderment that surrounded her, she hardly wished to spend the entirety of her only night off for this week here in her bedroom when the rest of the world laid just on the other side of that wall.
It was the sound of music that drew her attention, her gaze slowly fell down towards the building across the street. Her head tilted ever so inquisitively to the side as she listened to those meticulously sung notes in a language she didn't know that drifted from the upstairs window. For a moment, she was content to simply listen. That music, after all, called to the young woman in a way that it always seemed to - holding the once pop star utterly captivated. How those sweet notes made her way to sing and yet, such was a life she had given up in her death. Such was a world that was now out of her grasp. It was with a hint of sadness that her gaze fell to the cafe beneath that apartment flat. The bright, cheery lights from within had a way of drawing the young woman. She'd seen the delectable appearing drinks from her window perch before but Chizue had yet to find the courage to venture into such an establishment. Hell, she had yet to actually drink food of any kind since her death. What if she couldn't eat it? What if the taste of coffee that she had once so loved turned bitter in her mouth? A small frown crossed her lips and yes, as the door opened for a patron to enter, she found herself leaning dangerously out of her window, intoxicated by the entirely unique scent. It was infectious!
Before she knew it, Chizue had slipped on a pair of flats and found herself standing on the stairs just outside of her townhome. The young girl hopped down the stairs of the home she shared with Isolt, pausing just to glance down both sides of the street before dashing across and towards the cafe. It was with a measure of hesitance that Chizue found herself pushing open the door of the small business, the young girl entirely engulfed with the scents and smells that so assaulted her, the environment alone so utterly enticed her and, nervously, she made her way towards the young barista that stood at the counter. It was but mere minutes later that Chizue stepped away from the front of the store with a cup of chocolate flavored coffee in her fingertips, the whipped cream so carefully concocted to look like a rose on the top of her mug. It was with such care that she made her way toward the far back portion of the store and the few empty spots that still remained in the bustling cafe. Slowly, she put her cup down on the small coffee table at the side of the overstuffed chair, her gaze entirely enticed with the art in front of her before her gaze fluttered towards the art in the drink of the man in the chair catty corner to her. A soft gasp left her lips and she found herself uttering without quite realizing she had said the words out loud - "Oh! You have Okami! That's amazing!"
