The sound of that accented voice caused the young girl to glance upwards at her companion, her eyebrows momentarily furrowing in thought as she considered whether or not the man at her side was teasing her. There were, certainly, many who attested to the life of those mythical creatures and yet, they were little more than stories, mythological beings - weren't they? Chizue paused, her lips pressed together ever so slightly as those chocolate eyes fluttered back towards that dancing fabric. "Legends tells us there is a Dragon King for each of the four seas...but I've never seen one, have you?" She inquired, her gaze drifting upwards towards her companion's handsome features. It was perhaps as close as the demure girl might ever come to so challenging another soul, especially on something as far fetched as this, on something she knew couldn't have possibly existed. Nevertheless, her fingers gingerly embraced his arm. She offered him a small simper as he commented that those mortal souls were Dragon's favorite food. "Because we are tasty and go good with Brie!" She announced brightly, repeating a phrase she'd once read in a book. Chizue could hardly help the momentary giggle on her lips as he dragged her down the street and yet, any hint of joy that had but fleetingly held her in it's embrace vanished at that slight hint of red within the corner of her vision.
With a notable sense of nervousness, Chizue found herself inquiring as to whether or not her companion was entirely okay, going so far as instead offering a different activity they might partake in, if he so desired. After all, she hardly wanted her own delight with this festivity to bring him any sort of discontent, the girl entirely self sacrificing enough that she was quite willing to do whatever was necessary to bring those hues of a more friendly variety back to his frame. Her darkly hued eyes remained settled on his form as the man stopped in his tracks, his hand reaching out to pat her lightly on the head. That desire for food however, was one she understood well. After all, it was particularly dangerous for their kind to neglect those necessary needs for blood. Her lips pressed together and yet, she had scarce a moment to reply before Malek was continuing on, instead commenting on her particularly observant behavior. A nearly guilty look crossed her features as the girl glanced down at the sidewalk, quite disliking lying and yet, her fear of being rejected for the truth was perhaps even greater. "I just...I like making my friends happy." She uttered softly after a moment's consideration, those words hardly untrue in any manner, even if it didn't fully explain her acute awareness to the shift within the man's demeanor.
Her gaze tentatively rose towards the man at the side as he inquired to her body's reaction to mortal food. The inquiry caused her head to tilt ever so slightly in curiosity, "It's fine.." She commented, all the while entirely wondering why he had asked. Where there those that found it didn't sit well with them? How utterly disappointing that life must be! Chizue allowed the man to drag her to a nearby food cart, her own chocolate eyes briefly scanned the object of food in front of her, her lips parting. "This is..." Her voice cut off abruptly before a color from her periphery grabbed the entirety of her attention. Pink. She knew that color. She knew what it tasted like. She knew that emotion. And, perhaps more importantly, with a single glance given to the man at her side, she knew he would like it too. "Um...excuse me!" She uttered softly to him as a way of apology before dragging the ruggedly handsome man away from the vendor and back into the crowd. The lithe Asian girl moved quickly through them, her grasp never once releasing Malek as she chased down that color to the best of her abilities, ignoring all the others she saw.
It was several streets later that saw Chizue quite abruptly stop across the street from the young woman, the girl staring quite intently at several figurines of that lucky cat and it's moving paw. The girl's lips pressed together ever so slightly as she observed the beautiful blonde not far from her. There was certainly a level of attractiveness to her that Chizue lacked. The young woman had long dancer legs, she held herself with an air of confidence, boldly facing the world whereas Chizue so often shied away to that isolated familiarity of books and cafes. Still, the young woman lifted her hand ever so slightly, gesturing towards the woman. "You can eat her." She whispered softly, pausing before adding with a sort of certainty that surely gave away her abilities to a certain extent. "She's feeling very...flirty and...promiscuous. She won't say no to you." Slowly, the girl glanced up at the man before carefully untangling herself from his arm. She was trying to help him, to ensure he was well fed as he surely should be, even if the sight of her made Chizue's own self confidence fall several notches. After all, the Asian girl was entirely certain she could scarcely compare in the competition for the man's attention after he had seen to taking that blood he clearly needed.
