The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

aiden tetradore
Those emerald eyes near unflinchingly met the violent ones of the man across from him. Though he had replayed this event over and over within his thoughts the past few days, little of it, truly, had prepared him for the curious sensations that finally sitting across the equine creature brought within him. If anything, Tetradore was almost thankful for that mask of placidity that had been near trained within him, all those years ago. He understood, wholly, why Frost had attacked Raven, even if he was certain the man had gone beyond what was necessary to punish the girl for undoubtedly questioning him. After all, it was that distinct blood of dominance that ran through them. He hardly even blamed Frost for Nadya and the way their relationship had contributed to his own failing one with his sibling. After all, whatever existed between himself and his sister had been fraying for some time. Rather, the only true fault he had with Frost was over Samantha. Still, perhaps it was best that she was gone too, she would have been in danger had she stayed. No, it had all worked out for the best - a fact that Tetradore was keen to remind himself of as his gaze slowly dropped to those cupcake wrappers in front of the man, the presence of that uneaten one prompted a glimpse of inquisitiveness across his features, prompting that rather blunt question.
"A...carrot...cake?" He inquired, repeating those words with clear confusion. After all, for such a name, the one ingredient Frost didn't list was carrot. Perhaps it was one of those peculiar desserts where the name hardly matched the contents...like that Red Velvet. Still, that cupcake certainly looked more orange and less...chocolate. "That...has chocolate in it?" That dubiousness was certainly clear both on his voice and upon his features. His eyebrow crinkled and yet, he hardly demanded a taste of that sweet. After all, the pair were hardly on amicable terms. Rather, his fingers toyed with an empty wrapper, the man finally voicing his intention for tracking Frost down in the first place. That offer, he knew, was distinctly obscured and yet, he was not quite yet prepared to fully show the man before him his terms. Rather, he watched as Frost plucked that knife up, slicing that cupcake near perfectly down the center to reveal that spiced orange inside. How...curious. He was hardly perturbed by the silence his offer was met with, rather, it was that rather abrupt offering of that cupcake that caught him off guard.
Delicately, he plucked that offered slice from Frost's fingers, his mouth parting only for a singular word to be suddenly offered to him, one that made his eyebrow raise. That translation that came in the wake of it, however, caused the were-King to pause, the man simply watching as a piece of that parsley was too split in half just for his consumption. Did it truly make that big of a difference? That garnish? It was just a...leafy thing. He was almost inclined to take it off the cupcake, the man entirely assured that it hardly belonged and yet....a second glance at the man across from him prompted him to think otherwise. A small shrug crossed his shoulders before he placed that half of that cupcake within his mouth, chewing it in an entirely thoughtful fashion at that explosion of flavors upon his tongue. It certainly had a entirely unique flavor, that spice mixing in with that cream cheese to provide a sweetness he adored. And still....there was that...carrot...part....how..bizarre. "The frosting is delicious." He commented afterwards, this, truly, his favorite part of the whole dessert, not that such was any bit of a surprise, really.
Tetradore glanced up from that licking of his fingers, that deadpan voice hardly perturbing him in the slightest and yet it was that very mention of the liquor that caused his head to shake ever so slightly. "More like I need a drink to tell it." He commented, his voice little more than a mere mumble and yet, truly, perhaps a bit of liquid courage would be necessary for all he intended to face and relive with the most peculiar of companions. His head shook ever so slightly, ridding himself of those thoughts before the man rose, leading the way towards that blue sports car that awaited them. The Bugatti was hardly the fastest vehicle in his repertoire and yet, it was quickly becoming one of his most enjoyed vehicles, the one he'd taken to driving since his resurrection. The vehicle beeped with a press of that button on the keyfob, the were-King moved towards the drivers side, pausing only at that inquiry. "Zero to sixty in two point five. Tops out at two sixty eight." He commented quite promptly, those vehicles were a rather known weakness of his. Even so, he slid into that vehicle, turning the engine, the sheer sound of that motor was a sort of music to his ears, chasing away that apprehension.
He waited until Frost was comfortably within the car before his foot hit the pedal, the vehicle effortlessly sliding forward to merge with the traffic. It hardly took look before Tetradore led them from that busy metropolis, those city limits falling behind them entirely to nothing but tree lined roads. It had been a decade, at least, since he'd taken this road and yet, the way still came rushing back to him as if he had never left at all. The car sailed with ease around those curves and up those hills of that paved asphalt, climbing higher into the mountains all the same. It was near approaching on an hour when the vehicle finally turned off that main highway and onto a dirt road, the kind hardly meant for this sort of vehicle. That pathway had been overgrown since he last had been down here, and yet the dents made within it from the trek of many times some time ago could still found by Tetradore easy enough.
It hardly took long before that car came to a slow halt in the middle of what seemed like a burned away clearing of sorts. Tetradore reached towards Frost's feet, plucking that case of beer from their position before he gestured loosely for his newfound companion to join him outside of that car. The man leaned against that bright blue hood, the case placed at his feet as he handed Frost the first of what would likely be several beers. He popped the top off of his own bottle, his gaze slowly shifted towards those wooden beams and charred ground that surrounded them. It was so....bizarre to be back here, after everything. "Nadya and I grew up here. That would have been our parent's house." He gestured towards a batch of blackness to their left, the outline of that home still clear in where that charred ground ended and the regular foliage had begun. "I haven't been here since...that day, but I thought it was important for you to see where we came from." He commented, those emerald eyes turned altogether attentively towards his companion, watching him as he allowed Frost that moment to take in what he had never shown anyone before - his home.
