East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The alleyway scandal

Well, the city surely had lived up to the expectation of being chaotic and eventful. Ludo sat crouched over at the bar spilling droplets of the scotch when his phone startled him as it buzzed, journeying across the counter. Unlocking the passcode and clicking on the messenger app, he read Enzo's text which was merely an excuse to flake on meeting Ludo and go home with a "fine piece-of-ass woman" that he had met at the club instead. Throwing his phone on the bar counter in annoyance, he chugged the rest of his scotch, preparing to ascend from his seat and exit the bar until a lady who had looked traumatized, yet furious plopped down in the seat next to him.

He watched her curiously, as she asked for the top shelf whiskey and proceeded to glug the whole thing. Not being able to help himself he asked her, "Woah, woah, lady. You're not even going to enjoy the taste of a top shelf beverage? Deludente, (disappointing)" he sighed, shaking his head as he smirked at the woman. It was hard not to tease others when it came to the unappreciation of fine alcohol. The more he analyzed the woman he couldn't help but find a strong scent of dog permeate into his nostrils wafting from the woman's direction. "You a fan of dogs, miss?" he asked, smirking at her. It was his own way of casually hinting that he knew she wasn't normal. "You seem uh, out of place here," he focused now on the blood splattered medallion she frantically wiped off. Before he could delve deeper into the odd situation he noticed a man, who swiftly approached the woman, looking intensely at the preoccupied miss.

The man seemed to wipe any sort of annoyance previously expressed on his face before he forcibly calmed his tone of voice and asked the woman what she was doing sprinting down an alleyway, as well as accusing her of stealing the medallion she kept distractedly cleaning. Eavesdropping into the conversation quite obviously, he picked up that her name was Raven and that her night seemed to be far more interesting than his. He wanted to know who this intense looking guy was that loomed above her. He had a strange aura around him that Ludo couldn't quite put his finger on. All he knew was that this was a man he should avoid picking a fight with if he could help it.

As he focused intently on what the strange man had to say to her, he realized he had been caught listening in on the conversation by the sharp man as he watched him shift his body to face Ludo. With more tolerance in his speech than expected, he inquired if Ludo was dragged into this situation by the woman. "Huh? No, I didn't partake in the botte da orbi it seems," Ludo exclaimed, chuckling casually. Botte da orbi is the Italian metaphor for a big fight with flying fists, which seemed to be the situation that Raven partook in earlier to Ludo's assumptions. Finishing the interrogation questions the man presented to him, he replied, "Yeah, doesn't everyone have to be in the alleyway to get here though?" Ludo stared directly at the man, carefully listening to how he would retaliate to his question. "I'm Ludovino, I assume your name is Raven," he nodded to the disengaged woman shoulder to shoulder with him at the bar. "I don't think I've caught your name though fratu (brother)," standing up and extending his hand to the man, awaiting to see if he would shake it.
