The day as young, and the air was ripe with a chill that could chill you to the bone. Not even the windows could really stop the air from seeping into the house of Lazarus. The only thing stopping the cold fingers of the Fall air from creeping in, was the soft curtains that would cover the windows up entirely.
Donovan was in a peaceful sleep, unphased by the chill from the small draft of the door. He was sleeping in nothing but his tight, black colored boxer briefs that were a fabric almost like spandex.
His quiet sleep, was interrupted by his alarm going off. The inner beast would reveal itself, as he growled in annoyance.
Slowly opening his eyes at a glacial pace, and would yawn loudly with a mouth wide open, much like an actual Cheetah would; Even stretching out all of his limbs as he would snatch his phone swiftly and shut the alarm off.
"Alright. I'm up you piece of garbage... I don't even know why I keep you on you when you disrupt my much loved sleep."
He growled loudly, and would pull his phone down to his chest and put it on the nearby table.
He rolled out of the blankets that he was curled up in, and revealed his well toned body to the room that was surprisingly chilly to him. His first instinct, was to curl back into the blanket, but he didn't feel like being lazy today.
Donovan stood up and stretched out once more, and would wander off towards the laundry room. This was where he would stash his clothes, and it was pretty much his dressing room. Grabbing a faded pair of grey jeans, a black shirt and insulated jacket that looked almost like a leather jacket, he dressed himself with great ease. He slipped his feet into socks and then slid them into his slip on shoes.
He found himself looking good to his standards, and would grab his wallet from the last pair of jeans he had worn.
"I'd leave a note, but the only one who'd really be upset, is Elain. Hmph. That's what texts are for anyway."
He said to himself allowed as he grabbed his phone and would exit through the front door, locking the door with his set of house keys.
Instantly, Donovan would catch multiple scents; Perfumes and colognes that were sprayed at great volume, food being made in multiple houses, and the foul stench of the sewer.
"Ugh. The one part I hate of having such heightened sense of smell.. You smell everything foul."
He said with great disgust, as he walked off the steps and was greeted by the warmth of the sunlight. He took some joy in this simple thing, as it was one of the few things he actually liked.
And as Lazarus and Elain knew, Donovan was hard to please or impress. His past wouldn't allow him to find a lot of joy.
Not to mention, he had to be extremely careful. In the back of his mind, he knew if something set him off, he would change and have no control. And that fateful might replay itself.
"Yeah.. That's not happening now. Not if I have my way about it."
He thought in his mind, as he would bump into a person enveloped in their phone. The male was greatly annoyed, but that swiftly changed when Donovan let out his animalistic growl that sounded just like a cheetah defending itself from an intruder.
He continued walking through downtown, and taking no pleasure in anything he saw.
That was until he actually saw someone in the sea of faces stick out to him; Not just visually, but their scent. It was different. And it greatly intrigued him.
In usual fashion, he would step back onto a wall and lean on it. Watching, and waiting to see if this person would brave the busy sidewalk and quiet streets to see Donovan.
"The hunter lays a trap for his prey.. And he waits."
Donovan wasn't actually wanting to harm someone, but the irony of the situation called for such a line to be used. A stupidly amused grin crossed his lips as he put his hands in his pocket and would now wait.
