The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

years I've walked in the coldest winds
from sorrow and pain I find my strength
the more I hurt, the clearer I see.
His return from 'death' had not exactly gone as the were-King had planned. He had anticipated a struggle between the passing of that Alpha-ship from his Beta to himself. He had anticipated anger at his prolonged absence and that secret of his continued life he'd kept from them. He had expected a kind of acceptance....but none of those expectations had come to fruition exactly as he would have thought. Things had certainly gotten....weird, to put it mildly. An almost bashfully guilty look crossed his features at that laughter that left Alexis' lips at his woefully poor explanation of that evening all those months ago. Frankly, he hardly blamed the young woman for wanting to leave that tearful mess behind her. Hell, he had wanted to leave that tearful mess behind him and it was all because of him! It had, in the end, distracted the man terribly from that wealth of belated Christmas presents he had wanted to provide each member of that back, half of them still not fully given out even though Christmas once again crept upon the horizon. Perhaps now was the appropriate time to recycle them. After all, no one would know how long those gifts had sat idly by whilst Tetradore had been busied with all those other facets of his life that had begun to spiral out of control.
Such considerations, however, were woefully distracted by that mention of the very cafe just behind her, one he was well aware of Frost's own frequenting in those months the man had damn near stalked the opposing Alpha. Even so, he had never seen the pair truly socialize to any great degree, not enough to prompt his mistrust within the woman - and what with his own intention to create a hint of peace between the packs, in the end, it hardly mattered. It was that which caused him to push those thoughts away, the man equally sidestepping those queries of how he was doing himself only to address those concerns that were of true importance: Raven. Tetradore was quick to reassure his companion that the she-wolf was perfectly fine, the were-King instead content to inform her of that newest development between the relationship of Raven and his own Beta. That marriage was something that seemed to take any who knew of the couple by surprise and yet, it was a cause for celebration that Tetradore was willing to embrace. A small grin crossed his features at that widening of Alexis' eyes. That comment that the pair hadn't spoken much since the young woman had left the Ark, however, was easily brushed off with that insistence that Alexis should reach out to Raven. "Try not to worry about it too much, okay Alexis? Some friendships, you know, transcend things like time and...well...all the awkward shit you guys have probably dealt with." He added in an almost reassuring fashion. "Though maybe you shouldn't mention I said anything...I don't want to steal her thunder." There was almost a boyish look upon his handsome features in that moment, the man fully intending to let the newfound bride-to-be bask in that radiance that came with sharing such news herself.
Even despite the good news he had to share with the young woman, Tetradore hardly allowed that conversation to pitter off. Instead, he made a point to ensure Alexis was well aware of her ability to return to the Ark, if she so chose to. Those emerald eyes met the blue ones of his companion, her features quickly contorting into an almost thoughtful scowl. His head bobbed slowly as the girl spoken, the man attempting to show that he was at least listening to that unexpected near vulnerability and yet, in this he had perhaps failed even her. "Yeah....about that..." His voice trailed off, that sheepish look once again crossed his features as his hand rose to rub at the back of his neck. "I kind of had intended to...sort of extend the offer as a Christmas present last year but...then there was that whole death thing and Raven crying and...." He cringed at the near memory of it, his features crinkled in a small show of dislike before the man continued on after but a brief hesitation. "The point is, we would love to have you in the Nightshade pack, Alexis, if you're willing to forgive me fucking the timing up on that one." Okay, so maybe everyone else but Alexis wouldn't know of how utterly useless he'd been on delivering those gifts since his faux death. At the very least, he got there eventually and that counted for something, right?
