East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

A defeated sigh left her pink lips as her shoulders sagged even lower. Quietly she moved to sit down on her side of the table while the waitress left. Really there was nothing else Raven could do to help get Tobi to at least apologize. It was a silly and foolish attempt to do such a thing, but at least she tried. Perhaps this lesson could be taught at another time, maybe when he would actually feel sorry or at least ashamed of his actions. Sadden eyes were lowered as she crossed her arms while lying them on top of the table. Her eyes would shift only when she noticed his own hands coming towards her own, his fingers gently wrapping themselves around her own nimble long ones, a particular whiter scar on her pale flesh showed the scar of his bite he had given her a few weeks ago. Puzzled she would lift her head some, blue-grey eyes looking through her golden-brown curls as she noticed the beautiful smile that crept along his young features. It was indeed the first time she had seen him give her such a smile. She was used to his scowls, his dark eyes looking at her with disdain, or his lopsided grin that hinted she was doing something right. It was peculiar that he would flash her this dazzling grin it was making her see him in a different light; whether that was a good thing or not she was not sure. But her focus on his smile would shatter as soon as his calloused fingers glide over her soft flesh, his touch prickling the scar he had given her. She was unfamiliar with him stroking her fingers like this, and even though she did it to him, it felt weird that he was doing it. Quickly she would snatch her hand out from between his fingers as his other elbow rested on the table and his head lay on his hand. Puzzled she crossed her arms again on top of the table again, this time keeping it close to her edge of the table. Shaking her head she threw him a polite small smile, her soft curls bouncing back and forth, before she stopped and the curls fell along her shoulders. As usual when it came to using numerous words she spoke slowly, easy, making sure she wasn't going too fast.

"No, after lunch we'll go get ice cream somewhere else. And Tobi..., a pet does tricks to get a treat....you are not a pet...and you don't have to do a trick to get ice cream from me."

That he would be expected to get a treat all because he performed a trick in front of her was appalling. Though if this was the kind of treatment he was used to then she only continued to hold more sympathy for him. Grateful that he seemed to be more focused on the food now she simply watched quietly, pushing her plate of onion rings towards him so he could eat it all. When his dark eyes shifted in her direction she would simply stare back noticing the grin as he tilted his head in such a canine manner. Raven wasn't quite sure just how she should dissect what he was saying about what sort of neck device Risky wore, but she knew it was of no importance- if he didn't see it degrading then how could she? It was when he asked if she wanted to know his secret did she nod her head before tilting it to the side in a similar canine manner, as was natural for her to do so when curious. As he whispered to her a small smile appeared on her mauled features as she gave a soft chuckle. Well, at least Tobi knew how to get some sort of revenge.

"Well that was smart of you, but if you really want to annoy her"

She would lean her upper torso in his direction as she whispered to him just what she had in mind. Blue-grey eyes locked through his dark pools between his even darker locks of hair

"....tear up her clothes and her bed...she should know cats like to scratch things..."

She would lean her upper torso back against the plush side of the booth. Her fingers would start to intertwine with one another, a typical habit of her to do should she be nervous or anxious about something. The food would be coming out soon and she hoped Tobi would be a bit better when they would all come towards their table to set it down. But seeing how the food wasn't here just yet, she would look back up to him giving him a grin.

"I have a shoe from Azrael...I took it. I got caught in his trap...managed to get free...and then I tricked him into getting trapped in his own trap...Dark Hunters are not smart."

Slightly concerned that he would not be impressed she would look up, hoping to hear some sort of praise. It was rare of her to hear such things in her direction, let alone even from him, but there had been moments. He was impressed when she made him the hammock and she hoped to feel that joy when it came to someone acknowledging something positive that she had done. Though the scent of steak caught her full attention as she noticed the waitress coming towards their table only this time she wasn't carrying any plates. Instead two larger men each held a plate one for herself and the other for Tobi. Swiftly she slid farther down her side of the booth, shrinking away at the approach of males feeling uncomfortable. Grabbing Tobi's hand she would look at him and only speak as soon as his attention was on her.

"Tobi, our food is coming...they are going to put it on the table and walk away...and then we can eat."

Silently she prayed to all gods of all kinds, even the Geis; asking for any sign of divine intervention to at least help him behave and not attack anyone. They were so close to having their lunch be done. Sure they had to get ice cream, but that would be a piece of cake compared to this.
