East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The outfit that she wore wasn't the style she would have preferred. Her old caretaker had gone through great lengths of bribery to get her into the modern fashion. As such Anna felt rather uncomfortable in the outfit but at least it was clean. The absent fiddling with her outfit dulled her awareness of her surroundings which allowed the pair of vampires to get so close before realizing it. It was by no means an inconvenience to Anna though. She had after all gotten the man to indulge her in a run before he became a party pooper.

It could be said that Anna was in an amicable mood tonight at least. Bored but amicable. At least she wasn't looking for some human to haunt. Her original goal had been to try and get Sebastian to play with her again tonight but coming upon the familiar face of the mayor shifted those thoughts. Despite Dareios' stiff demeanor towards her, a smile graced her features when he spoke her name. "It's a boring job." That much she was sure of and felt the need to state.

However, his continued huffiness caused Anna to huff as well. She crossed her arms across her chest, "I'm just walking. Can't be upset at me because you don't know how to be a vampire." Anna was quite firm in the belief that if a vampire didn't hunt that it wasn't a true vampire at all, it didn't know how to be one and denying their nature would only make them more dangerous for that moment when they finally snapped. Although she couldn't recall it clearly, it was a fact she knew, knew somewhere in that recess of her mind that she had seen it before. "Maybe if someone taught you then you'd be a better mayor."

Those blue eyes eyed Dareios critically. "You don't talk about how to make things better for the vampires. You pretend we don't exist...you pretend you're human. You lie. Lying mayors aren't good mayors. Lying is for traitors." There was an evenness of experience in her tone, even if it was something she couldn't fully pinpoint again. She was used to being treated a certain way, being of importance, that much she knew. Every so often details flittered back to the forefront of her mind before disappearing again.
