Truthfully, Tetradore had never paid too much attention to exactly how his staff, or even the members of his pack, consumed their cupcakes. The were-King had a tendency to remain rather aloof from those lives he watched over. Crafting those affable connections had never been an easy task for the man, particularly considering his own tormented past. Still, he assumed the pack at large ate their sweets like any normal individual might, at least, he hoped so. His emerald eyes shifted back towards the young woman as she inquired of his own status within that pack and yet, Tetradore saw little reason to deny it. After all, of late, he'd quite gotten into trouble for not admitting earlier exactly who and what he was. His head bobbed ever so slightly. "Alpha of the Nightshade pack." He responded easily enough, only to further prompt that introduction from her and, in turn, Tetradore was all too willing to finally offer the woman his own name. That hand she offered him to shake, however, was entirely ignored as his gaze shifted from those licked fingers to her sweetheart lips and that glob of chocolate tucked within the corner of her lips. His thumb reached out, easily wiping away that chocolate only to suck upon his own finger, indulging in that frosting that he was certain could not be wasted.
That near exotic laughter that left her lips only further served to prompt a small grin upon Tetradore's own features. He was entirely pleased to see her face brighten with that simple action. After all, he could hardly deny that she was lovely when not regarding the world with that serious introspective look that had so afflicted her fair face since he walked in that front door. That idle comment of the retaliation his boldness might surely receive was regarded with a small shrug. "I've yet to have any woman try." He admitted with an almost roguish grin. Then again, it wasn't often that Tetradore made an effort to flirt with women to begin with. The number of times he had attempted such a gesture could be counted on one hand, he was sure. Not many women, after all, ravished their cupcakes so...enthusiastically. His emerald eyes followed her similarly colored ones back to those cookies fresh from the oven, the smell of them alone was near intoxicating and yet, patience was a virtue that Tetradore had been forced to foster. His head bobbed ever so slightly in understanding of that simple statement that they'd have to be cooled before they could be bagged to keep their perfection intact and yet, he hardly expected to be offered further chocolatey beverages.
His decline was entirely polite, the man even going so far as to tease her for her insistence on putting him in some sort of chocolate coma just to keep him around. Still, he could hardly deny that she was right. A chocolate coma was far better than any other type of coma....and the weather was quite perfect for sleeping off a sugar crash. His head tilted to the side, as if he was considering that proposition all over again only for the young woman to simply offer him a small shrug. "Well, if your cookies come out decently, I may be back for that cocoa." The man responded, that simper briefly touched his features. Tetradore hardly anticipated the plan that had formed upon the young woman's mind in those moments and yet, it was a scheme that would, sadly, never see itself fully come to life. The bright flash of lightning in the bakery beyond drew even Tetradore's gaze before, that roaring boom prompted a small frown upon his lips. The ocean would be rocky tonight and that, combined with the weather, meant the Ark would be decidedly quiet.
His thoughts of his own boat, however, were disrupted only by the Bakery suddenly becoming plunged into darkness, the kind that caught even the were-King off guard by the potency of it. He could hear the sound of the young woman moving through that cargo ship, those curse words on her lips and yet, Tetradore could hardly blame her for it. He listened to what he could tell was a drawer, his own gaze slowly adjusted to that dimness, enough to make out some vague shapes thanks to the little light that filtered in from the doorway of the main shop and those large windows beyond. Unfortunately, that sudden beam directed at the were-King himself was enough to undo any sort of night-vision he'd gained, prompting the man to near squint as a frown crossed his lips. Thankfully, that light was hardly upon the man long before her attention turned towards her coolers and the dough left on her workbench. He watched in silence as she attempted to juggle that product and the light. Frankly, she seemed the type of individual not to accept his assistance even if he did offer it. Still, he could almost see that flashlight falling from her lips, that very incident occurring but moments later.
It hardly took long before the pair were plunged back into darkness. A soft sigh left his lips at the string of those curse words, his head shook ever so slightly. He was hardly prepared, however, for that feminine frame to collide into his own but seconds later, his hands easily reached out to catch the girl as his body shifted ever so slightly, only for her to abruptly step away from him. His head shook ever so slightly at the apology. "Don't worry about it. I'm afraid I don't have cash though but...the Ark will still have electricity if you need to use our fridges. It'd be a shame for any of your batter or dough to go to waste." A small shrug crossed the man's shoulders at that offer. "That is, if the lights don't come back soon...I'll go see who else is out while you...figure out...whatever." After all, with the power down, he doubted she even had the ability to run a debit card transaction either. Still, he was content to leave the girl with her own fussing for several moments as he made his way cautiously towards that only bit of light coming from the storefront. The man meandered towards those large windows, glancing out to the sheeting rain beyond. "Looks like the whole street's down at least." He called out to her, only for a frown to once again cross his lips. It could be the whole town for all they knew. Well, this was unexpected.
