East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Immortality was a tricky thing. Some welcome it as he had done when Godric came to him that night. Others live in resentment for what was given to them. Witches weren't immortal by nature but hed seen them make sacrifices to gain more years. He'd seen them steal lives that weren't theirs to take and kill innocents, even children, to get what they want. He knew Sorcha wasnt like that though. She wasnt evil. She didnt seem to have a bad bone in her body. She stepped toward him and he offered her a drink from his mug, knowing it wouldn't be at all appetizing for her. She made a fake gagging noise and said she preferred her blood in her body. He smirked. "Something we have in common."

His gaze softened as he said it. Yes, he knew he didn't know her very long but he already felt very protective over her and knew he would do just about anything to keep her safe. He knew she wasnt judging him for drinking blood. There were many other less appealing ways he could get his blood so this was by far one of the most tame ways to do it. At least he managed to make it look civilized. He couldnt get enough of all her grins and laughter. It made the place feel even more like home. She eventually went back to the table and he was reluctant to not have her so close anymore. Her scent was all around him. He was drowning in it and he didnt mind at all. He sat beside her, commenting on her food though it was obvious that wasnt all he was talking about. She blushed and he had to keep himself from licking his lips in clear interest. He couldn't enough of the way her skin flared to life. To know he was the one doing it to her only made it worse.

She shifted in her chair, watching him thoughtfully and for a minute, he felt like he was holding his breath even though he didn't need it to begin with. She was unpredictable and he didnt know what to expect. Then she winked and grinned before turning her attention back to her food and he felt his body relax, though whether it was from relief or disappointment, he wasn't sure. She said that it was and he smirked in response, his eyes lighting up humorously as he turned back to the paper he was reading. She ate rather quickly, his brow lifting in surprise as she finished cleaning her plate. "Someone was hungry." He murmured lightly as she got up and went to to the sink. Luckily for her, Adele had stepped out to see if Darlene needed any help down the hall or she would have given Sorcha a big talking to for not leaving her plate where it was.

He leaned back in his chair. "Tsk, tsk, how disappointed Adele will be when she sees that." He smirked though to let her know he was joking....well, mostly. At her question, his voice lowered dangerously as he stood. "Always." But then she asked about him turning to dust so he sighed and walked to the door, opening it before she could stop him and stepping outside. He threw his arms out as he spun around slowly on the front step. The sun glinted of his hair and made shadows against the chiseled muscles of his arms as he turned back to her with a grin. "See? Dust free."
