East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
It was absolutely a-maz-ing, this idea of someone else doing the icky shopping bits. There were just....SOOOOOOO many people at those superstores! It was too much! She had tried going in one but she'd only managed to get as far in the front doors before she saw those checkout lines FILLED TO THE BRIM with people. Nope! She couldn't do it! It was a shame because the fruit looked really really really good too. An almost wistful sigh left her lips at this idea of paying someone for her grocery shopping. That must be the life. She probably couldn't afford that. Her interest in his shopping tendencies, however, hesitated only by Oliver's sudden insistence that she prepared dinners too. "You....you don't even cook?" Really?! Who didn't cook! It was fun. "Do you not know how to cook?! That's it, I'm going to teach you how. You'll come over and we can make some super duper yummy fish okay?! What about salmon!? Do you like salmon?" She inquired, suddenly quite taken with this idea of ensuring Oliver understood the wonderful joys of cooking. It was like...a super amazing fun thing to do! Especially when you made something super duper delicious ALLLLLL by yourself!

That idea of a shopping buddy, however, still lingered on her mind, after all, getting all the ingredients she wanted from the random tiny stores she'd found had proven to be a problem. She just needed someone to accompany her to the store, that's all! Oliver's contemplation caused her head to tilt, only for that warm simper to blossom across her features. "Does that mean you'll go with me to the store? You're my friend!" She declared, perhaps far more enthusiastic than she should be. Although Abigail was an extremely friendly woman, she had a relatively small group of friends. Most of them hardly particularly close to the young woman at all beyond those occasional gatherings. She hardly minded, however, being quite busy herself juggling school and a job and her boyfriend. It was like...a lot! That very excitement within the woman hardly waned, even as she informed him of exactly why she had brought that fish in the first place, eagerly showing off that delicious looking lunch that awaited him if he forgave her for chasing off all of his fishies. She watched as that figurative lightbulb seem to brighten in his head, the man easily making that connection to their meeting in the woods but a few weeks ago. She had discovered then that she was not a very good fisher.

"It's not my fault! They just..didn't want to be our friends." The young woman quite exclaimed at Oliver's insistence that she had chased away all of his fishies. Even so, she could see that disbelief on his features, even as he eyed that lunch that she had brought. Oh yeah, she could see the way he was oogling it. He wanted it. He waannntteedd it! Hook, line, and sinker! See, she could be a good fisher! She waited for that reluctant sigh of defeat, the man's admittance that he supposed that she had made up for her quite literal floundering caused a bright beaming smile to flutter across her features. She ddiiddd ittt! At least, she thought she did, until he insistence she should know how to fish...with a fishing rod. "Are we going to take a fishing trip?" She inquired, her head tilted to the side. Did that mean they were going to go on a boat?! She'd never been on a boat before! That could be super duper fun! Maybe that was the idea she'd submit to Frost. He had wanted thinks his pack could do....going out into the ocean on a super big boat could be really neat!

It was, in fact, that very thought of Frost that reminded the young woman of half the reason she had come to visit her friend in the first place, much less of the very lunch she intended to take him on. Her hazel eyes turned towards the window with a sense of longing, that building strikingly oppressive now that she was in Oliver's dim office. Her attention turned towards him as Oliver started to speak, only to, quite suddenly, give into her feminine whims. She could hardly help that ecstatic look of joy on her lips, much less that girlish squeal of glee. This was going to be awesome! At least, until he called her unbelievable. Like she was super duper ridiculous for wanting to be outside! Pft, he wanted to be too, she knew it! She watched as Oliver leaned back into his chair, only to give a brief summary of their encounters so far - from the day they'd met in the woods to the lunch she'd brought him and now the questions she had about that whole...pack thingie. That idle comment of how big of a question it must be, however, caused her head to tilt to the side. "I don't know." The girl admitted sheepishly after a moment. Were packs a big thing? Was joining one a big thing? Hm....maybe she should have thought this out more...

Honestly, she hadn't truly considered WHERE outside they could go to eat their little meal and yet, Oliver seemed to have the perfect place. She hadn't passed that park on the way here, and not visiting downtown often, the girl was altogether clueless of that small little patch of greenery amongst all of that cement and brick and stone. Still, she trusted her Olly! Her head bobbed eagerly as Oliver assured her that, at this hour, it was unlikely they would be interrupted by too many people. Most of them were probably all off at work and school and all the other nonsense they got up to. She hardly minded that there was little there at the park, as long as there were park benches for them! That idea of shopping, however, prompted a small shrug on her shoulders. She really wasn't against shopping, when she had her own money to shop but it could be taxing at times too. It prompted some mixed emotions within the sweet girl. She followed him down the hallway as he led the way out towards the reception room, entirely taken off guard by that notion that he had questions of his own from her, a fact she asked after. She hardly expected how she found him to be the first one on his lips, even if it was reasonable.

Her lips parted, clearly about to answer before Oliver continued that he' like to hear it as they walked rather than now. Her head bobbed readily, only for her attention to turn towards those receptionists that so keenly watched them. She could feel the weight of their eyes upon her, even more so as Oliver declared he would not be returning for the rest of the day. The young woman perked up, inquiring if he was super duper serious about that. A whole DAY with him?! That'd be so neat! She didn't expect the way he reached out for her bag, the woman relenting her hold on that bag. "Okay...!" She responded, even as she felt the gentle hang upon the small of her back, encouraging her out of the lobby and towards the elevators. Her hazel eyes turned upwards, watching as the floors counted upwards before the elevator dinged. Abigail led the way inside, waiting till Oliver joined her before she pressed that button for the lobby. Her gaze shifted from the doors at the sound of Oliver's voice. "Well,....you're kind of stinky." She responded, her little nose twitching even though she hardly meant it as an insult. "You smell like....sandalwood. I like it. I was down here recently trying to find a dress and I was sure I smelled you! I decided to try again today!" It seemed simple enough. Found sandalwood. Followed sandalwood. Found building! Knew his name and BAM. Stalking complete!
