East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Well Now I See, The Answer Is In Your Eyes [Open to Wedding Guests]

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

When it came to planning out the ceremony part of the wedding Raven wanted to make sure it was simple and easy for her mate to follow and comprehend. It was rather difficult. There were so many ways the ceremony could go, many of them far too elaborate and completely unnecessary. The young woman visited different sorts of wedding officiants explaining what she was wanting, but many of them simply didn't understand why she would want to 'downplay' their ceremony. She was lucky to meet the older gentleman before them. He was soft-spoken and very kind when they first spoke. When she explained the manner of her fiancé and why it was imperative that their ceremony be incredibly simple the man understood and admitted he was willing to help. Asking her mate to craft a speech on the spot was asking a lot. However, when she was explaining to Tobi how their ceremony would go he seemed eager to agree to the idea of the two of them saying something to one another. Even though she explained he wouldn't be able to mimic or follow someone he didn't seem bothered. Raven wondered if Tobi was, unknowingly, speaking for that other half that rarely made his presence known. If he was willing to speak then she would as well, even though she was fine not to. Raven was pleased to hear what he had to say, when she heard him struggle, she squeezed his hand quietly in an encouraging manner, letting him take his time. When it was her turn to reply she made sure to keep herself from mumbling, keeping her cadence in her speech slow for her companion to understand. It was difficult to create a speech meant to be heard by both of his selves, knowing there might be something the other wouldn't grasp. Seeing him smile she assumed that she did well since he wasn't frowning at the end. As the celebrant spoke about them being at a crossroads she noticed how Tobias looked down at the floor, a small simper appeared as she squeezed his hand, urging the man to focus.

The vows was another thing she wanted to keep simple. Even though Tobias understood he was getting married it was imperative he didn't say the wrong thing. The words had to be something easy for him to digest and understand. Whatever was said needed to be something that he would agree to and not something he would say no to. It would be extremely awkward if he said no. The celebrant promised Raven he would make it simple for her mate to comprehend. However, seeing a frown appear on his handsome face made Raven feel her heart suddenly drop into her gut. She could see Tobi turning his head towards Tetradore, knowing the boy would inquire something, but when their Alpha simply nodded his head that seemed to satisfy whatever concern or question Tobias had. Hearing him say 'I do' made her grin in delight. Now with the exchanging of rings she turned to take the ring for Tobias from Serafina. She knew taking the ring from Tobias yesterday was going to confuse the man, but she promised she would return it to him tomorrow. With the ring in her hand she noticed Tobias quickly trying to snatch it from her, but she would move her hand away from his, shaking her head. Gently her voice would prod into his head saying, not yet, I promise I'll give it back to you.. Nodding to the Celebrant she looked over to her mate smiling. Her left hand would gently hold onto his left hand, keeping it steady, as she used her right hand to slide his ring on his ring finger, repeating the Celebrant's words. Her grin would widen when he smiled, the man quite pleased, but as to what she didn't know. Was it because he got his ring back or because of the words she said? Knowing her mate it was probably getting the ring back. Her eyes shifted towards their Alpha has he handed to her mate her ring, just as eager as her mate to have it back. Quietly she watched in surprise as her mate gently grabbed her hand and brought it towards him, looking up at his gaze, she smiled as she felt that familiar cold metal slide on her ring finger.

Unable to help herself, she raised her right hand to gently push back some of those dark tendrils covering his face. She knew how much work it took for him to speak without getting upset and stuttering. Hoping her silent praise was understood she lowered her hand, grabbing his free one and squeezing it gently. Everything suddenly became such a blur. The Celebrant soft, and warm words sounded unrecognizable. She could hear her heart hammering in her head. They completed each step of their ceremony, well almost, and Raven was delighted. At a young age if someone told her that years ago on this day she would be married she would have accused them of lying and being cruel. Her attention remained on her mate as they both smiled. She knew the Celebrant was speaking, but what he was saying, she had no idea. Seeing her companion lean in, she happily leaned forward to accept his kiss. Seeing her misfit partner pull away, she took a step forward pulling her husband into a hug as they kissed again to the sound of their close friends clap. Breaking the kiss she leaned into his side as she gave a small, shy wave towards the crowd. Reaching for her husband's hand she headed up towards the aisle, walking steadily at his side as they passed their pack and friends. Once they left them she could hear their wedding coordinator providing their guests on instructions to get to the reception. Turning around she threw her arms around her mate absolutely pleased with his performance.

"You did a very good job Tobi, a very good job. We have to take photos, but then afterwards we get to eat and you can have your cake."

Her attention on her husband deviated when in the corner of her eye she saw her close friend and Alpha approaching the happy couple. Stepping away from Tobias she headed over towards Serafina giving her a hug for a moment. The two of them chatting for a moment as the witch handed her bouquet. The two of them would head over towards Tetradore and Tobias having their own conversation. Raven would make her way over towards the green-eyed man, giving him a warm hug, muttering her sincere thanks for everything that he did. They wouldn't have had the wedding if it wasn't for him. Tobias wouldn't have acted the way he did, or dressed up nicely, or even had a shower if it wasn't for him. In fact the two of them probably wouldn't be together if Tetradore didn't offer her that chance to join his pack. In all honesty if it wasn't for Tetradore Raven doubted she would have the life she did, if it wasn't for him. Gently letting him go she would take a step back towards her husband, taking his hand as thy followed the wedding photographer, gesturing for them to follow. When it came to finding a wedding photographer Raven wanted to make sure that the person they hired would understand that he would need to be accommodating to her mate and his antics. He was an impatient man and the wedding photographer needed to work quickly and efficiently, because Raven didn't want to upset her mate. When they reached a part of the gardens for their pictures the lupine smiled seeing familiar close faces. The photographer quickly took charge and everything flowed like a well-coordinated dance. There were pictures of the happy couple, bride and maid of honor, groom and best man, Raven with Dorian, another with their small wedding party all together, another with their pack, and the last one with the Ark staff. When it was all done, Raven followed the wedding coordinator guiding the two of them to where the reception would be, with her husband at her side. The wedding coordinator informed them they could enter the reception area once their guests were sitting at their respective tables. Having that moment alone with her mate she leaned into him, appreciating the silence, and gently taking his left hand and rubbing her thumb against his ring. With an exhausted sigh she murmured quite softly.

"I love you Tobi."

Blue-grey eyes shifted upwards towards him as she leaned her head against his shoulder. All that adrenaline and anxiety she felt earlier had melted away leaving her absolutely exhausted. Their night wasn't over yet though. In the silence that night she could hear his heart thumping steadily and it is quite soothing. Suddenly the wedding coordinator arrived ushering them towards the reception where everyone was waiting to greet them. Grabbing her husbands' hand she squeezed it gently as they made their way towards the reception area, before they entered she gave her husband a tender kiss. Giving him a small smile, they entered the area to the sound of their guests applause and cheers.
