East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Horses were, as far as Alexander was concerned, were hardly difficult creatures. They were always straight forward and genuine, so few merely bothered to pause to truly understand them. His very suggestion of such a thing, however, prompted a scoff to the young woman's lips, even as Alexis reached down to brush her fingers affectionately over the mare's neck. The very notion of 'movies' and horses that were less than simple brought a soft grunt to Alexander's lips as they pressed together ever just so. The Macedonian was...opinionated when it came to equines, a fact that he was well aware of. In his opinion, a horse's actions were near always the result of its rider. He strove to keep such thoughts to himself, however, hardly blaming Alexis for her...ignorance on the matter. She would learn, in time, if she chose to keep up the activity in the way she had unknowingly tried to commit herself to. The very mention of the animated film the girl had seemingly garnered her knowledge from, however, caused Alexander's shoulders to rise in a gentle shrug. "I haven't seen it." He admitted. He'd seen trailers, certainly, a mustang running across open plains accompanied by an eagle, and yet...such...childish flicks had not appealed to the Dark-Hunter for some time, not enough to venture into a movie theatre.

Rather, Alexander turned the topic at hand away from the horses beneath them and instead towards the lake along which they walked. He was aware, of course, of the romantic beachside scene that Alexis dreamed of - those movies ones he had been subjected to. How the young woman seemed to dream of the life painted across the big screen, so many of her fantasies revolving around things she had seen within them. He watched as the smile spread across her features, the girl certain she could get accustomed to this level of...romance.

Alexander outlined the path before them, the man certain they'd be back to the barn before nightfall. Such evening ventures upon horseback, after all, were not nearly as...safe for a novice and Alexander had every intention of ensuring this ride was nothing short of enjoyable. The playful tease upon Alexis' lips caused a soft chuckle upon his own before he nodded in agreement. "Yes, I should think so." A curfew - God, when was the last time that he had even had such a thing?! The very thought caused his head to shake slightly before the Hunter turned his focus back upon the path. Alexander was content to lead the way around the lake, the horses' pace kept purposefully slow as they meandered comfortably around the calm body of water. The sun continued to set as they went, painting the sky with vibrant colors before slowly dimming, the edges feathered in that dark navy blue just as the barn finally came back into sight nearly half an hour later. It was only after Alexander led the way back into the barn that the Macedonian glanced back over at Alexis. "How did you like it?" He inquired curiously as he swung off of his stallion's back, his feet landing on the floor with a soft thud.
