It seemed Dareios' message had the desired effect. The tall vampire had only taken a handful of strides in the correct direction when the angelic were-woman turned swiftly on her heels and barked back at him. A tight smirk formed over his lips while he listened to her with his back still turned. Then he slowly, and casually turned to face her with his arms crossed over his chest and one amused dark brow raised. "I can agree to be polite, if you can." He said, this time using his voice. He let a short bit of silence hang between them as a few strangers passed by on the damp park sidewalk. "Otherwise... I'm sure one of these many friendly residents of Sacrosanct can help you get where you need to go." Just then the street lights across the park flickered on. Whatever remnants of sunset had disappeared behind the city skyscrapers. Stars burned overhead, though faintly at first. And like clockwork, Dareios' phone began to buzz away again. He was running late. "Shall we?" He offered, with an exaggerated swoop of his arm as if he were holding an invisible door open for the woman. Naturally, the vampire mayor was curious about her distaste for vampires. It was hardly a taboo opinion... but it had been a short while since he'd been greeted by a stranger so venomously. It was 2021 in Sacrosanct, after all. But perhaps this woman was the careful reminder Dareios needed - not everyone was as free thinking or amenable to shifting cultural beliefs as he hoped - and had worked so hard to achieve. "It's about to be a long walk, if we do it silence." He offered next, as they neared the exit to the park and toward the intersection of city streets. "So what brings you to this fine city of Sacrosanct?" Dareios Auerbach | Vampire | Vinyl |
