East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It would have been heinous folly for Isolt to have actually anticipated receiving an explanation as to the contents of the elegant box held carefully between her fingers. If she knew naught else of him, it was that Damon so loved his surprises, so loved the charismatic mystique with which he taunted her far more regularly than either of them might have consciously realized. Yet it is a taunt she was glad to indulge, a tenaciously curled and beckoning finger that the young redhead obeyed enthusiastically and often. And this night, this moment, would prove no exception as her fingers move slowly and carefully to pries the seam of the box so that she might unearth whatever enigmatic treasure Damon had sought for her.

What had begun as simple, utterly characteristic and oft foolhardy curiosity swiftly melted, the paradoxically chilled warmth of awe washing over the cool pallor of her flesh as the soft blue of her eyes caressed every link, lovingly perusing each of the five charms in due turn. "Oh my gosh," she whispered, nearly inaudible for in true her attentions were not for her words. The bracelet was resplendent for even its beauty alone, and yet the symbolism of this particular selection of charms, of memories, bred within her a warmth that sank far deeper than the superficial euphoria dazzling jewelry so oft created. It was so very much more than that. It was, in its dainty chain and perfectly-sculpted additions, the story of them. It was the tale of all he had done for her, of all that he had given to a starved and frightened vampire in a time when she had needed most the guidance of a steady hand. It was a reminder of what she owed him, and Isolt feared that she might never prove capable of accurately displaying the truest depths of her gratitude.

The crystalline blue of Isolt's eyes glisten magnificently beneath the veil of the moon's pristine light as she turns to Damon, rising from the embrace of her seat only enough so that she might brush the luscious suppleness of her lips against his cheek in a brief and yet undeniably beholden kiss. "It's perfect," she whispers softly into his ear before pulling away, her gaze travelling, enraptured still, back to the parcel she holds. It is with the utmost in practiced care that the young vampire extracts the delicate bauble from its holdings to fasten it around a single slender wrist. Isolt considers this treasured gift and the sweetness of the memories it symbolizes in silence for a few moments longer before relaxing against the headrest and turning to allow her eyes to run over the chiseled lines of Damon's features once more. A serenely contented smile spreads upon her lips the likes of which have been rare for Isolt in the oft-harrowing nights of this afterlife, and she peers at him through a veil of curled lashes. "You didn't have to do that... but thank you."
