East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

when there are no more worlds to conquer

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

If there was anything Alexander had particular experience with, it was stubborn, bull headed stallions. Through out his life, the conqueror had ridden his fair share of magnificent steeds - all of which had been determine to declare their will somehow above being tamed. Perhaps, in the same way, Alexander assumed that this one would be no different from the rest. Fortunately for Dark Hunter, he had vastly more time to prove his point and as far as equines were concerned, he was willing enough to wait. His blue-green gaze swept over the steed, his features remaining perfectly impassive, revealing neither pleasure or disappointment in the outcome of the events that had transpired. Alexander's posture had turned to a relaxed pose as he leaned against the side of the building, his arms folded over his chest as his gaze met the agitated glance of the steed's. Astutely he watched the horse' nostrils flare, he heard the huff of air the stallion rose back to his feet just as he observed the shift in the creatures ears. He watched the creature's muscles tense and in turn his own did the same, perhaps equally as prepared for the secondary onslaught though he was rapidly running out of weapons to be dispensed upon the creature - not that he really needed them but he didn't yet want to risk close quarters with the creature either.

He heard the disgruntled sound leave the stallions mouth and vaguely he could tell that he was, in some fashion being insulted. A soft snort left his nostrils but Alexander hardly bothered to even attempt to engage in some kind of conversation with the were-horse. At least, not until the creature stamped his hoof in a childlike fashion. "Prone to temper tantrums, arn't we?" He inquired in a gruff tone, more to himself then the creature at large. It was more of a mental note, an observation to be stored away for a later point in time. His gaze notes the fashion of the creatures' head flicking, clearly attempt a more appropriate fashion of herding him and, for the first time, Alexander finds it in himself to oblige. He pushed himself off the edge of the building, heading towards God only knew where. What he didn't anticipate, however, was the retaliation from his earlier victory. A grunt left his lips as Alexander instantly reacted, leaping forward only to pivot on his toes and glance back at the equine with a scowl on his masculine features. "Was that necessary?" He demanded, his gaze narrowed ever so slightly as he rubbed the sore spot on his butt.

There was a growl on his lips as he trailed behind the steed, watching him prace with pleased ease. He shook his head ever so slightly, shoving his hands in his pocket as his gaze settled on the path in front of him. It was hardly difficult for him to map out their route through the city - though it provided him with strikingly few clues on where the steed was attempting to take him. The few times Alexander did attempt to pause, he was met with the creatures teeth until Alexander began to expect it and had thus in turn became rather good at twarting his attempts. He was hardly willing to become as "trained" as the creature thought him to be but curiosity did momentarily distract him from his stubbornness. This better be worth it.
