East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He stood upon the ledge of the building quietly, his gaze solemn and contemplative as he stared down at the city below. There was an impressive statue-like quality in the way he stood there in the cold and dark, and it was as if nothing in those few moments could tear his attention away from his own thoughts.

This particular roof deck was high enough that he could hear himself think. The lights weren't so blinding, the distractions - less. Here in the dark... he could focus. A muted disdain lingered in those grey eyes of his as he watched the world carry on from above. It was a problem, certainly, this... city.

Creatures of all sorts had made a tangled, disgusting little nest in Sacrosanct it seemed. Witches. Warlocks. If not them then the Vampires, if not the Vampires then it was the Weres. Besides those, who could forget the Hunter's that deemed themselves so entirely worthy of destroying the rest? Perhaps not as useless as the others, but careless none the less. Drugged bulls throwing their weight around in hopes that their horns might hit the correct target, though Animal knew they saw themselves closer to something... more elusive. He took in a small breath, chest rising and falling as his stoic gaze slowly trailed the lighted, blurred streets below. And then of course there were the humans; cattle of the very world itself. Those could not be helped. The others, however...well.

The Fae creature continued to contemplate. It was important for Animal to ground himself every once in a while, taking a small step back to remind himself of what he wished to accomplish and just how, exactly, he might go about doing that. Right now the boy seemed to have a fairly good idea but... it was simply a matter of time. Simply a matter of time.

Somewhere in the distance a blue light continued to blink, one of many on the various rooftops surrounding the heart of the city. A horn blared down below. Neon signs buzzed quietly, meshing seamlessly with the faded thrum of activity far below. Animal simply continued to stand there, lighting a thin cigarette as he brooded. It was a nasty little habit, smoking, but it was a vice he simply couldn't bring himself to resist.
