The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

that everything looked this blue through Sinatra's eyes. She was startled by the brief, but stern tightness in his grip. So much so that she considered recoiling herself -- poof, fading into nothingness, and floating off to a safer part of the city. But Eleanor was curious. Perhaps too curious for her own good. Maybe it was the long days she spent alone that lead to this rare lapse in judgment. She craved attention, his attention. She wanted to know more. When the sneer appeared upon his lips she winced. Not in fright, but in uncertain disgust. Her usually wide and bright eyes reeled back into tight slits as the skin on her eye lids and around her sockets folded over one another in layers. He was mean down to his core. She could feel it radiating off him. She was stupid to stay here. Eleanor couldn't fix him, nor was she sure she even wanted to. Blindly and foolishly, she ignored the fae's warning signs and sat daintily on the wall. Her vision focused at the earth below, hazy sight blurring that of her dangling clunky boots, and zeroing in on the moist ground below them. She could smell the earth so strongly from here. She could feel the tendrils of the weak blades of grass as they drifted in the city's thick and smog-like breeze. For a moment, she longed to be far away from here. Away from the towering sky scrapers, the people here, the nighttime creatures. Even the man standing next to her. She felt him at her bare neck again, the porcelain skin there pimpling in goosebumps the second he drifted over her. Her body became rigid and unfamiliar. She had fallen into his trap. Eleanor closed her eyes as he spoke, his voice barely more audible than a whisper. Her arms were held straight and stiff, the palms of her hands reddening around the edges from the tense grip she had on the edge of the concrete wall. She took a deep breathe, her whole chest rising and falling strangely, before she opened her eyes again, not to see him, but for him to see that she wasn't scared. "What is it that you want to do to me?" She spoke, her voice much louder than his had been. "Tell me." Eleanor | Fairy | Vinyl |
