The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy
Sam forgot about her own anxieties the moment she stepped foot into the club. It was like being smothered with colors and feelings. She could feel everything. She could feel the feline's amusement at her side, and the curiosity of the woman who was walking down the stairs. There was the lust of the crowd, the euphoria. For Sam, it felt somewhere between the panic of being unable to breathe to the intoxicating realization that she no longer cared. She wanted to lose herself in the dancing, to toss her head back and dance until she couldn't anymore. And she supposed that she would have if it hadn't been for the feline's nudge on her arm beside her. It was only then that she realized the woman in front of her had been speaking.
The woman oozed power, both from the way she stood to the way the dancers moved around her. There was something soft about her - it made Sam want to trust her - but also something undeniably sharp and dangerous. It took Sam several moments to gather herself enough to speak. "Interesting place you have here," She mused, bringing her gaze up to the woman that stood in front of her. She tried to stand up tall, to make herself appear much more confident than she felt. That was difficult, of course, considering that she appeared so young and was currently coated in a sheen of sweat from her half-hearted attempt to deal with the amount of emotions flowing around her. There was a reason the young empath tended to avoid crowds, and this was it. Still, she attempted to focus on the woman in front of her and the situation at hand. "I'm Samantha. I just met..." She struggled, attempting to remember the name she'd just been given for the feline beside her and failing. "We just met in the park."
