The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy
Samantha let her shoulders slump slightly at the rejection of her request, even though logistically it made sense for him to not know how to help her. "Right," Samantha said, giving him a tiny smile. "I'll definitely ask them." Truthfully, the young faerie had no desire to ask the girls she worked with. They already sensed the weakness and naivety in her, and she'd already decided that showing any further lapses in her knowledge would not be wise. She'd survived a few years without knowing much about the creature that she'd become, and was confident that the world would begin to make sense for her. She'd already learned more about herself since she came to Sacrosanct, and the supernatural sense of the city would undoubtably help her.
Immediately, Samantha knew that reaching out to the man about his feelings had been a mistake. She watched him look up at her, his mood shifting from that guilt and despair to suspicion, all directed towards her. The girl pulled her hand back, folding her hands in her lap as the man in front of her voiced the question aloud. "I..." She hardly had time to respond before his accusation of the clown hardly being what she saw was vocalized, and the red hue stained her cheeks. She'd never been a good liar, her tell always being the blush that stained her cheeks. She kept her gaze down, feeling his emotions shift to that casual indifference that so often surrounded the man in front of her.
Slowly, Samantha took a deep breath. "No," She said gently. "I didn't see a clown. I saw Them." She didn't elaborate, not entirely sure that she was ready to face those ideas once again. "But that's not important. You did it to frighten the hunters, not me. I know that." She took a deep breath, bringing her gaze up to the man. She didn't quite know how to deal with the man's question, or how to skirt around the details the way she would have liked. Instead, she merely looked up at him, giving him a small shrug. "I can... feel emotions?" She said quietly, reaching up to run a hand through her long hair. "I've been able to do it since I changed. I don't think it's common with fae though, from what I can tell." She gave a small shrug. "I don't mean to pry. It's just very obvious to me... I... it's like a weird taste in my mouth." Samantha smiled a little. "Sorry. I know it's weird."
