The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Nadya was quite content in the bubble of just herself and the twins while Frost went to fetch her coffee order. She was amused on a level that he didn't protest with her obvious order. The thought was quickly swept aside seeing that, if memory served, his behavior with her was very different than the one he presented to others. A slight frown marred her features at that before the twins could pull her back into the present. She bounced Micah on her knee slightly to occupy him until she was able to stuff a teething ring toy into his hands which he banged on the wooden table.
Her gaze slid across the table to Frost once he seated and presented her with the mug of coffee. "Thank you." She mumbled, though the gratefulness for it was mostly directed at the coffee itself than Frost's providing it. Her love affair with coffee was certainly bordering on addiction. She took a delicate sip of the hot liquid before allowing herself the heartbreak of recalling her past. It wasn't her way to bring it up, never wanting sympathy for parents lost that she had only snippets of memories here and there of. Nadya was too proud to ever accept someone feeling pity for her; that wasn't an Alpha behavior.
Though Nadya hardly understood the reasoning that the vampire coven had done it so she couldn't truly give Frost the answer that he wanted. She could only roll a shoulder as she took to sip again at the coffee, relishing the bitter darkness of the exotic bean. "The vampire leader wanted my brother for some reason. There are magical beings that like using Weres as pets and she was one...but I don't know why she chose my brother." It would have been easier for sure to take a child Were that wasn't an Alpha's son. "He grew too strong for her in the end though. When I found him and he knew we could all be together again she wasn't a match for him. Last I saw she was burning with the rest of her coven in that forsaken club of hers." There was a sparkle in Nadya's gaze at that, boasting about her brother's power to overcome a vampire who was supposed to have been so powerful. It was also proof that Tet would do anything that meant keeping her safe.
Once Nadya felt her own story time was finished she quickly shifted the focus onto the stallion in front of her. He was a mess of unknowns that she was only too eager to know about. It also was few and far between she got to have an intelligent conversation. Even as the question was leaving her lips Nadya could sense the switch in Frost's behavior, his surprise and hesitation to answer it. From their quick banter back and forth she already knew how guarded Frost was about his past nearly as much as she was of hers. Nadya was perhaps just as stubborn as he was and was determined, sitting there in silence waiting patiently for him to answer it.
In all honesty Nadya didn't expect Frost to reveal much more beyond the information about his mother. Though by time Frost finished, there was nothing short of an entertained smirk on Nadya's lips. "Well I never pegged you for a cougar man." Nadya couldn't help the good natured laughter that escaped her. "I'm sure after that you can't possibly think that my curiosity is satisfied. Do you think I'd join your pack if I don't know anything about you? I don't even know if you have a job other than the obvious stalking me and making trouble for my pack. Do you even have a pack of your own here? I never see you with anyone." Obviously her brother assumed Frost had a pack to back him up though Nadya still believed he was more of a lone male simply going around puffing his chest. Yes, she was playing 20 questions with him now. She raised a brow, briefly distracted by Izzy tossing the stuffed horse in Frost's direction. It was a thing of Izzy's to throw things at people if she wasn't getting attention from them. Nadya sighed before continuing in a softer tone, her arm wrapping ever more around Micah. "Don't you miss them at all?...Your herd, your mother....your child?"
