East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The festivities that were going on had Gianni's eyes flicking in every direction. Lights were blinking and you could hear people from a mile away yelling and screaming in cheer rather than fear. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and to be making the most of their night. She wasn't sure what they were celebrating and frankly she didn't care. The atmosphere made her giddy with excitement, wanting to join in the many different activities that were going on.

Her blue orbs trailed behind the kids who ran by with the vendor yelling after them and she couldn't help but giggle at the scene. In a way it made her sad, as she never had such a childhood, and never would. It was something she came to terms with years ago, though every now and again pulled at her heart strings. Still watching in the direction to which the group disappeared, the vampire never noticed when the man stopped next to her bench.

She looked back only to see him standing there. While Gianni didn't know other species she knew humans and vampires, and the moment she laid eyes on him she knew that he was of her kind. He didn't look at her as she spoke, something that was common for her. His line had him tilting her head in confusion as she followed his gaze to the crowd. "A prize sounds fun!" Her eyes brightened with the thought of winning something and she bounced in her seat before settling back down, "Although I was just watching the activities go on," She gestured to the crowds of people strolling by.

She allowed her gloved hand to set back into her lap as she crossed her legs at the ankle. "And what brings one such as yourself out on this lively night?" She was being brave with her line as she stepped out on a limb. Normally she would introduce herself, but tonight she was feeling like she could take on the world. Her efforts, however, were flawed. The girl would never admit that it was easy to push her buttons, to control her strings like a puppeteer. She was easily manipulated, and while she tried to put on a mask to hide it, she knew there was a chance that most would see through it.

A part of her said she should introduce herself, but her defiant side was deciding to shine through. Looking up she gave the man a smile as she fidgeted nervously, awaiting to know how he would react to her.
