She had never given a lot of thought to the life Sebastian now led, some part of her perhaps still fantasizing that they were who they had been when they had first met. Both living simpler lives in different ways with much less weight to bear on their shoulders. Yet she couldn't deny that he seemed... happy with his life and she had become content with her despite all she had lived through and she didn't think she could honestly say she wished to go back. The veil of the world had been ripped back from her eyes over the last few years and though she had never been innocent per se she knew much more of its darkness now and while it was a hard walked road it was not necessarily for the worst. Still when the pair were around each other, enveloped in the dark confines of the car it was easy to fall back into the grasp of the undeniable connection they still shared, and in the light of that little else seemed to matter.
However in the moments of poignant silence that lingered after he answered her question regarding his feelings towards the security and fuss made over every thing he did she was given a sharp dose of reality. There was a touch of resignation in his response to her acquiescence to the guards presence in light of his realist view of them which she could not deny. She was glad for the distraction as the doors opened and they exited that vehicle, her palm enclosed in the enveloping coolness of his hand as he helped her from the vehicle and into the quaint establishment. Her mouth near watering at the delicious scents that all but assaulted her sensitive nose in the best way possible as Sebastian inquired as to what flavor of crepé she so desired. The possibilities were nearly endless, and the proximity of his body so delicious in its own ways was decidedly distracting, yet her hazel gaze thoughtfully roved the list of options before her.
Still she could not resist her thoughts dipping into the last time the two had spent time together, his nearness allowing his own unique scent to conjoin with the sweet spells of the shop in a wholly exclusive way. It prompted teeth to release their hold on her soft lips, her tongue instead running over them delectably before she looked back to the vampire at her side. The raised brow he offered her in response to her request all the reaction she needed before she finished that order with a quick word to the girl behind the counter. It takes effort to keep her eyes on the other woman as Sebastian placed his own order and she scurried to work, though the corner of her lip pulled up at his request to add tea as well. He was British after all, she had to remind herself though she did love when his accent slipped out from time to time when he wasn't paying as much attention.
Not until she presented them with their orders and her companion stepped forward to take those cups, offering her one did she glance back up at him coyly.
Sliding back into the plush interior of the SUV she cradled the warm cup of tea in her lap, her veiled eyes focusing on Sebastian's face as he situated himself beside her. Raising that cup to her lips she still studied his face while tipping it back and taking a long, if not sobering, pull of the warm liquid.
