It was not rare to find the curly-haired woman curled up in one of the more comfortable leather chairs within one of the secluded lounges within the Ark. This particular room was created into a study or library of some sort and it was entirely always a cozy warm atmosphere. The low light created a sort of intimate environment as bookshelves loaded with books that pulled the girl into different journeys. When she didn't have any office work to do or Tobias hadn't summoned her to his side, she would be locked away within this room by herself. Though this time she was not alone. It had taken awhile for the lupine to trust the smaller canine and Jackal was behind the desk looking over his files of betting, counting money and placing the various coins on a scale. Apparently she could make a lot of money if she won a fight, but she only participated in such a thing if she was with Tobias â€" something she and her leopard companion agreed upon â€" which led her to having some money saved away for a rainy day. Preferably her 'rainy day' meant buying items for her own pleasure like books â€" books she stored herself within this room. The scratching of the pen was a sound she was content with hearing as Jackal wrote down on his sheet of paper, but the piercing ringing of the phone was not a welcomed sound. Her head would jerk upwards as she heard a rather loud voice coming from the other end of the phone, the familiar sound of Birdie caught her attention and there was immediate concern appearing on her mauled façade. Quickly she leapt from her comfortable seat wondering just why anyone would use her moniker that Tobias alone used.
"Jackal...if that is for me then please give it..."
Blue-grey eyes narrowed as Jackal seemed to squirm in his seat seeing how the typical passive girl carried an air of authority mixed with disgust. She was by no means any shape and form capable of being some sort of leader type figure amongst anyone, but she was willing to act as if she needed to take control of the phone and see just who was using her nickname. Taking the phone to her ear a very soft anxious voice answered the now panic sounding male on the other line.
"Yes, this is Birdie may I ask who is calling?"
Quietly she listened to the man on the phone lecturing her about her deviant companion seeming to have caused some damage to ritzy establishment. She could hear snickering coming from behind her, the little Mexican man finding all of this humorous, which caused an innocent looking lamp to smack perfectly in Jackal's face. As Raven was about to speak up, frowning at his choice of words to describe her boyfriend, the other end of the phone line went click, but she caught the familiar sound of Tobias shouting in the background. With a heavy sigh she placed the phone back in its cradle with a Jackal grinning like a Cheshire cat. Shaking her head she opened the door to the room, shutting it with the sound of Jackal laughing as his species, which once again the sound of a lamp slamming into the smaller canine left a satisfied smirk on her pink lips. Part of her really wanted to go to Tetradore and ask him if she could borrow his car....which would have been a resulting no, which led her to thinking perhaps her Alpha would be willing to drive her all the way to the North. And yet this particular types of sports car didn't deserve to be out in the rain and the cold, and afraid to even bother the green-eyed Panther the lupine felt that the only way to get to the North was on her own grey paws. As she shifted and headed for the door, preparing for her long, wet, and cold run she made a mental note to get her own car, one that she could use in times like this.
Even though she was capable of running for a long distance her short bursts of speed could only be used so much. It took some time to get from the West and to the North, especially with the fact she was roaming the city as a wolf. With the thickness of the rain providing her some sort of cloak, hiding behind and underneath still cars, she managed to track his familiar scent even if the rain was washing most of it away. Grey trimmed ears twitched when she heard something heavy being thrown and the sound of scared cries coming from the southwest corner of this particular block. Without a doubt she assumed that particular store, Prada, was the place Tobias was. Stepping from underneath the car she looked around before shifting back into her human flesh, running on two legs and pushing the door gently open. Blue-grey eyes widen in shock as she looked at the fancy purses being on the floor in a rough manner, shelves lying on the ground, and a few store employees hiding behind the desk. Hearing a familiar hissing noise coming from the pile of shelves and purses. Carefully she bent down and poked her head through the hole to see a familiar figure of her male friend, a wry small smile appeared on her face, as one hand gently grabbed his own and squeezed it softly.
"Tobi, I am here...everything is going to be okay...can you please tell me why you came here and why there is a mess?"
Those same hands would travel and clasp either side of his face, as one managed to stroke behind his ear in a comforting manner as she managed to squeeze her way in his makeshift hiding hole.
