In all honesty, Edith had had no good reason to leave her comfy home in Yorkshire for Sacrosanct other than that she only wanted to experience something other than the small pack she'd grown up in. She'd scrounged up all of her available funds and put it towards a plane ticket to Sacrosanct. While the young fox had been overwhelmingly ecstatic about the move, her parents had been less so. They'd tried everything to force her to stay, even cutting her off entirely. But the wanderlust that had struck the young girl had still put her on that plane, turning her back on her family and everything that had felt safe to her for the past twenty-five years of her life. All she'd wanted was to explore and to prove her parents wrong that the tiny fox could survive on her own without their help. The downside was, of course, that the plane ticket had eaten up the majority of her funds, and it wasn't like she'd had a job lined up in Sacro. Or a place to live. Or anything at all. For the time being, she'd bought some camping supplies and had set up a spot for herself in the forest.
However, her money had depleted itself rather rapidly and there was only so much she could do to scrimp on food. It was why she'd found herself in the Northern part of the city in the nicest clothing she owned. One way or another, she had to find a way to support herself. And that meant finding a job. The young were had never exactly had a job before, and that had caused several of the places to turn her away without even a glance at her. It was frustrating to say the least, and it had caused the young girl to give up her quest around midday, thinking that perhaps this was not the right neighborhood for the currently homeless girl to attempt to find a job. Perhaps she'd be better off in the Western part of the city. After all, she couldn't expect things to be as easy as they were back home. It seemed that despite her determination, Edith would have her work cut out for her to actually get a job.
Dejected and frustrated, Edith had let herself wander into a shop and get a small tortilla wrapped sandwich that cost far more than it should for lunch. The cashier had eyed her suspiciously as she'd counted out her change, looking rather ill at the idea that it cost as much as it did. But too proud to admit that it was more than she could afford, she'd handed over the money and left with her overly priced food. It was too nice to eat inside, and she hardly wanted to be in the stuffy buildings anyway. Edith moved out of the building and towards the set of benches that were mostly unoccupied. She sat down on one at random, hardly paying attention to the man that occupied the bench opposite hers. She reached up, letting her hair free of the neat ponytail she'd done it up in and followed suit by unbuttoning the top button of her blouse. It wasn't much, but enough to make her feel far more comfortable as she unwrapped the pathetic food she'd bought for herself. It only barely caught her attention that the snowy haired man relaxed on the bench across from her. She raised her gaze, his scent giving him away as a were like herself. It was the first one she'd come across since moving â€" the first supernatural, even â€" and he immediately peeked her interest. Though, despite that, she stayed quiet, preferring to observe him in silence for a bit until she was absolutely ready to give herself away.
