I'm reluctant to put her down on the cot, not wanting to take my eyes off of her for a second. I know we just met but I feel I somehow owe her for being one of the good ones, a vampire who didn't just want to rip my throat out and drink my fairy blood. She's polite and interesting, to say the least. I'll always have a deep hatred for vampires after what they did to my mom but I can at least keep her alive. At least, Shui Lin can. I've seen her do her healing tricks before. If I could heal, I would have been doing it in a heartbeat but alas wings won't help in this instance. Instead I have to give the elder witch her space to do her craft as only she knows best. I feel like a hovering parent but I somehow feel responsible for Amelia and what happened to her. I just want her to be okay.

Worry creases my brow as I watch the elderly lady pace back and forth. She examines the wound then grabs some things off the shelf and a med kit. She mutters to herself a little, almost like incantations as she grabs more ingrediants and potions off the shelves. My hands clasp and unclasp at my sides, unsure of what to do but feeling restless and anxious. I look up at her voice, glad that she's at least got the strength to talk. At her question, I turn my gaze to Shui Lin as well, echoing her question in my eyes. The lady pats me on the forehead as she walks by, patting the chair to make me sit down so she can do her thing. With a sigh, I oblige. She stands over Amelia and starts chanting as she sprinkles some sort of dust over the wound. The arrow starts to glow and turn different colors. When it turns blue, she gives me an assertive glance and nudges her head toward Amelia.

Unsure of what exactly is needed, I move to Amelia's head and then she nods. "Hold." Her accent is very strong and I know she doesn't know a lot of English so I place my hands gently on Amelia's shoulders and lean down by her ear. "That means brace yourself cause this is about to hurt." No sooner had I said it than Shui Lin grasps the arrow and breaks it off before using tongs to fish the arrow head out of her leg. I press firmly, relying on my ancient strength to somewhat hold her down to the cot so she doesn't attack Shui Lin or anything. When she's done fishing out the pieces of arrow, the witch starts chanting again, waving her hands and wiping a weird greenish lotion on the puncture. I squirm impatiently, wishing I knew what to say to reassure Amelia but I'm speechless.

When Shui Lin finally pulls away, I go to walk toward her, my gaze anxious. "So...is she gonna be okay?" The lady turns around, giving me a shoo-ing motion again with her hand as she brings over a cloth bandage to wrap the leg. She starts to wrap and looks up at me. "Fine. Rest. Live." I nod excitedly, turning back to her with a grin and two thumbs up. "Hear that? You're gonna live!"
