As a woman there were some things that she was supposed to enjoy according to society. As a young woman she was required to read the latest gossip in the sleezy magazine, have every damn technique down when it came to make up, and acquire the latest fashion knowledge to survive any season and dress for any and all occasion. Well, sadly, this young woman knew nothing of the sort and come hell or high water, she would be dammed to learn such a thing. This morning after making a warm breakfast for herself and her fox-friend she decided to surprise the girl with a little bit of amusement, although she hardly saw anything to be happy about such an occasion. With a kind smile she offered the girl a special treat. To walk among others within their flesh to 'enjoy' the 'fun' that came to shopping. Seeing as Alexis wasn't aware of the activity Raven was hardly willing to partake, she explained to the girl that both were in dire need of clothes. She had shopped at a second hand-store and their materials and textiles of clothes barely lasted more than a month. Which meant that she would need better fabrics and higher brands if she was going to keep any kind of wardrobe. Since Alexis was borrowing her poor taste in clothes the curly-haired woman felt it was only right that Alexis tagalong with her on this horrible event. Keeping her sour attitude in check she played along to Alexis's wide-eyed excitement that they would go on an adventure called 'shopping.' By saving Lucian's paychecks and hardly spending any money from the gift her Sister pack had given her, for her complete silence on her treatment, she had money to burn- far too much damn money.
Quietly she would walk beside Alexis, allowing the girl's eyes to wander around the oddly dressed streets. Her own head built down slightly, using her golden-brown curls to hide her disfigured face, after their last run in when a flock of women decided to simply gawk at her. This entire area was not a place she felt comfortable in, but a coworker advised her of where she was supposed to go shop and apparently, this was 'the place' if she wanted to have better clothes on her back. She would bring out a flimsy piece of paper from her jean pocket, studying the address before looking up at the store on the corner. Frowning some her head would tilt to the side, hearing the fast-paced music inside that played the most horrendous music she had ever heard in her entire life- the Top 40s. Oh, how she wished she could plug her ears shut. Shaking her head, she watched quietly as a pair of women walked out from the store wearing attire that she would never, ever, dream of wearing in public, what with their sleeves ripped along their arms, and the fabric along their sides sliced up revealing far too much skin then what she deemed appropriate. Their arms were loaded with a variety of colorful bags and for a moment she had to wonder, was she really ready to carry back to their home all their clothes? Crossing her arms in front of her she would give Alexis a kind small smile as her soft voice held a slight drawl of false enthusiasm.
"So...this is a store...where girls waste their money on clothes...which is why I brought you in here. My clothes are a bit bigger for you, you'll have to get some clothes that actually fit you, and don't worry about the price. I don't know why I was told to go here, but if you want to go..."
She felt her crossed arms be tugged, as the Alexis's hands would wrap in hers, feeling the girl practically yank her into the store. Clearly someone was thrilled about being here. With a faint scowl on her disfigured face she would begrudgingly follow, sliding her hand out of Alexis's tight grip, bringing her own hands within the front of her black hoodie's pockets. A part of her, deep down, was quite glad that she was able to provide Alexis some form of entertainment and life's luxuries, even if it was to spend money down the drain on clothes. Yet, it was a necessary evil that they would have to endure together. All she was looking for were jeans and a few simple shirts, and perhaps, another hoodie or two, and then she would be happy to be on her merry way and never, ever, shop again. Seeing the fox-girl's eyes light up as she stared and looked at the inside of the store, as if it were the most magical place on earth, she couldn't help but shy and shake her head as she glared at a few nearby garments. She thought living with her pack was a hell, but shopping well...this was pretty much the 9th circle of hell.
