Sacrosanct contains four distinct neighborhoods, each with their own specific kind of houses and residents. Explore our districts, view lists of our citizens and enjoy our block parties!
Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Kato Buhari
Kato chuckled at Edie's comment about her joining for the shower. "I don't think anything could have pulled you from that bed, Dove." He smirked as he set to work packing their things. While it got cold here in Sacrosanct, he had never been to Europe so didn't know what to expect weather wise and found himself packing nearly everything. Thankfully Edie appeared at his side and stilled his hands with her soft words. "Sweaters...confining things." Kato huffed slightly but listened anyways and began placing Edie's warmer clothes into the bag. He truly didn't have much in the way of clothes seeing as he so often just wore his jeans unless at work where he wore a simple t-shirt under the market apron. Kato had grown up under the warm rays of the sun running about nearly bare as well so never had had much of a chance to get used to the feeling of clothes upon his skin.
The man was oblivious to Edie's internal chaos, simply nodding in acknowledgement of her decision to text Frost and shower as he set back to work. He noted the slight lackluster in her tone when she came back from getting ready but figured it was due to still being tired. Kato was sure Edie could sleep the whole day if given the chance. "Sounds good, we'll take a taxi and go find you your dream car when we get back from the trip." He smiled and planted a kiss to her cheek as he wrapped an arm around her, leading her downstairs once packed. Kato made a small breakfast while they waited for the taxi, inhaling his as usual while not surprised that Edie only picked at her food. It was usual when she just woke up to not eat the first few hours. He thought nothing of it. When the taxi arrived he took her hand and led her outside, tossing their bags into the trunk before opening the door for her. It wasn't a long ride but it was then that Kato began to notice Edie's continued silence. "Still tired?" He murmured and pulled her to him in the back of the taxi to wrap his arms around her. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head and allowed the rest of the ride to continue in silence. Perhaps this was some after effect of whatever she consumed from that vampire...like a hangover.
Kato remained close to Edie as she clung to him, having no problem with the proximity as he always naturally fell into protector with her. She was off and he could feel it and as such held her just as close as she was holding to him. Perhaps she was nervous for the flight...he knew he was. He got motion sick and disliked the idea of a metal tube flying thousands of miles through the air by some unseen magical force. It just wasn't natural. Kato eased into his seat beside Edie and held her hand as they set off. It was no easy feat for him at first, feeling as if he was going to be sick through the rocking and jarring of the plane until it leveled out. It wasn't until the feeling was finally ebbing that finally Edie found her voice again. "Huh?" Kato's brain had to refocus as he turned his attention to his girlfriend as she started over in her explanation.
Confusion furrowed his brows as he looked back at her. "Who's He?" His form was immediately tense at the implications Edie was revealing to him. "No one owns you Edie." The fact that he was in a plane ceased to matter and only the fret that Edie seemed to be in had his full attention. "We don't have to go, we can turn right back around when we land and go home. We don't even have to go see your family, just the other places. But...Edie..." Kato reached over to cup her cheek in his hand. "I won't let anyone hurt you or make you do something you don't want to." Not that he had ever really seen Edie do something she didn't want to do before so this idea of someone owning her was hard to grasp. "Just let me know and we'll do whatever you want."
