Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It was so unlike the usually calm Faerie Queen to let rage overwhelm her, and yet the way that the assassin stood in her bedroom and threatened those she held near and dear to her. The amusement that Vhalla felt in regards to her only seemed to fuel that rage that she felt, and she barely allowed the woman to complete a sentence before the queen was pulling at the threads of Vhalla's emotions. Fear was something she had grown to know quite well over the passing weeks. She knew what it was like to be afraid, and it was that emotion that she so brought out within the witch. She knew the potency of the emotion that she would inflict Vhalla with. The girl had lived within those emotions for weeks, and it was her own emotions that she drew from to bring upon her friend. Or at least, who she thought was her friend.

The Fae Queen would never consider herself particularly cruel, and yet she couldn't deny that after listening to Vhalla threaten Aiden and Dorian, she liked the way that Vhalla knelt at her feet. The fear on her features had Samantha pleased. She should feel bad. She should feel awful. Dorian and Aiden had done nothing to Vhalla, just as Samantha had done nothing to deserve this. She held that fear on her as she spoke, the emotion lessening the moment that Vhalla's legs kicked out and knocked Samantha to the ground. Samantha's arms flew out instinctively to catch herself, and she'd just sat up as she watched the witch vomit onto her floor.

The queen made no movement to stand as the assassin towered over her, though her eyes were full of rage as she watched her compliment her. "Don't praise me for that," Samantha said bitterly, the guilt of what she had done seeming to settle upon her. She didn't want to be praised for this. This was awful and terrible and cruel, and it was even worse that there had been a part of Samantha that had enjoyed the experience. That was not who Sam was, and it was not who she swore to herself that she would be. It was the notion of attacking without powers that had Samantha's gaze lifting to the woman that towered over her so easily. "I have no reason to attack you, Vhalla." She managed, though her feet kicked out instinctively as Vhalla hauled her to her feet as though she were a rag doll.

"Stop it," Samantha said weakly as she stepped back from the girl, her arms wrapping around herself as she attempted to ignore the goading that Vhalla inflicted her with. She looked up at the white-haired witch, her eyes narrowed. "Do not threaten them again." She said coldly, turning her head to avoid looking at her as soon as the words left her lips. "I thought I told you to leave. I can't... believe you." The girl's voice was shaky, the woman clearly still struggling to believe the situation that her friend had placed her in. "I have never done anything to you. You're cruel, Vhalla."

The Faerie Queen flinched immediately as the woman took a step towards her, half expecting that the witch would send her tumbling to the ground once more. "Stop it, Vhalla..." The girl said defensively, her hands coming up in an attempt to block the movement. Her gaze fell upon the sword that rested across the room. How she wished she could get ahold of the blade to use it to protect herself. Samantha had no idea how to fight, and she wasn't naive enough to think that if she struck the witch she wouldn't pay dearly for it.
