Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Henry probably lingered a bit too long in the shower, but it felt heavenly. Considering the torture that his muscles and bones had gone through, this was a lovely change of pace. The water soothed his aching muscles and the steam from the hot water seemed to help clear his head. He would have to make sure he went out tonight for some drinks on his own. He needed to process all of this. He wasn't sure how to. He didn't truly understand what was happening to him and the explanation that Sterling was offering him was not something that made any more sense. Henry was sheltered. In Sterling's attempt to keep him from the horrors of this city, it had come back to bite them both in the butt. Now Henry was a part of the same group of people Sterling was trying so hard to protect Henry from.

Turning off the shower, Henry stepped from the glass enclosure and grabbed his towel. He dried his body off swiftly before hanging the towel on the towel rack. For a moment, Henry stood alongside the sick, staring at himself in the mirror. His mind so was confused and it was trying so hard to make sense of something.

Realizing that he was probably ensuring that their dinner was getting cold, Henry pulled on his boxers followed by his sweats and t-shirt. Flipping off the bathroom light, Henry opened the door and padded down the hall barefoot. He smiled as he rounded the corner and saw Sterling sitting on the couch with a perfectly prepared meal. At least Sterling wanted to sit next to him on the couch. That was a plus, right?

Henry plopped down next to Sterling, making sure that their thighs were touching. He didn't realize he was trying to be so close to Sterling, but what could it hurt? He wanted Sterling to know that he still loved him, despite all that had happened. Even before finding out that they were once lovers, Henry knew that he was falling in love with Sterling all over again. He couldn't deny those feelings.

Popping the top off his beer, he took a swig before picking up his plate and beginning to eat the delicious chicken and twice baked potatoes. He relished each bite as if it was his last meal. He was starving. Whatever happened last night, it had consumed all his energy. However, even this delicious meal was not enough to hide the large elephant in the room. "Sterling..." His voice softened as he set his plate down and took another sip of his beer. He was trying to gather his thoughts to say what he felt needed to be said. "I don't know if you need time to think about how we go forward from here now that we have our memories back...but I want you to know that before this happened, I was falling deeply in love with you. Nothing can change those feelings. They were real to me." He quieted, his eyes looking down at the flood. He was scared about what Sterling might say. He wasn't sure if Sterling even wanted to continue their relationship. So much had happened. Maybe he wanted a fresh start away from Henry. "It's because I love you that I want you to decide how to proceed from here. Whether you choose to pick up where we left off, start fresh, or move on...I will support your decision." Although it would crush Henry if Sterling chose to move on, he would do it. He loved the man next to him so much that he would willingly die for him if he asked it of him.
