Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

That picture that rested so innocently within Dorian's hands was certainly the epitome of the festivity to come, so immortalizing within that moment the fae King's first brush with Halloween and a harmless fear that was so often sought for by the mortal species. He hardly minded that soft touch afforded to him as his lover so leaned against his chest, rather embracing every ounce of affection he was so capable of stealing from the man in front of him. Nevertheless, the vampire's indigo eyes so settled upon that polaroid, declaring that Dorian was required to keep a decent picture of them if he was also going to treasure this one so intently. The king's mention of this picture seeming to not be made from paint so saw his head bob in agreement. "It is not, I'll show you how later tonight, your phon-oh, er, letter-spender is capable of it." Sebastian offered as a way of a promise to, slowly, show the King everything his gift was so capable of, even if he'd momentarily forgotten the name the King had so fondly and yet, mistakenly, called it. Names were, after all, of utmost importance to the vampire, even for inanimate objects such as cell phones.

Regardless, the vampire pulled his lover from the faux statute, allowing the man to return to his job of so harassing the fine oblivious folk that entered the castle. Instead, Sebastian's gaze wandered, so taking in the spectacles the peculiar carnival had to offer the pair. It was with obvious enthusiasm that the vampire so listed off what events he could see that seemed promising, the man pointing briefly towards the costumed man without his head and the painted horse he rode upon in the corner. That moments of such intense speculation, however, was fleeting before his attention turned back towards his lover in front of him, so prompting the King to choose his own adventure for what the vampire was certain would be an unforgettable and entirely eventful evening. He watched as Dorian so considered the options before him with such delicate care, clearly intending to choose the one that, perhaps, sounded far safer then it surely was. Nevertheless, Sebastian hardly bothered to correct this ill perceived notion, instead embracing the idea of the corn maze with a ready nodd. His hand tugged ever so slightly upon his lover's as he led Dorian with ease through the crowd to cross the hall where that corn maze so towered in the heart of that castle.

He paused before that darkened entrance, inquisitive as to how that maze somehow seemed so particularly grim and still when the lights of the festival around them were so starkly bright. It was clear they had employed some measure of magic in this foreboding labyrinth and yet, Sebastian hardly held any fear. Instead, he merely glanced at the sign that so deemed the place haunted before stepping foot into the obscurity, walking down the path in an entirely inquisitive fashion. He paused after several feet within when Dorian's form failed to grace his side, his indigo eyes cast backwards inquisitively to his companion that so studied the maze. Fortunately, he hardly had to wait long before Dorian quickly began to fill the distance between them, falling in step at his side where the King undoubtedly belonged. It was curious really, how the further they seemed to go within the maze, the more the sounds of the carnival seemed to disappear, leaving only the screams of their fellow maze goers and occasional sound effects from the monsters within. He was certain he'd heard the vroom of a chainsaw somewhere. And yet, despite such things, it was the question upon his lover's lips that so sought to pull his attention, the vampire nodding ever so slightly. "I believe that is the goal, yes." He confirmed.

The concept of this was hardly novel to Sebastian himself, after all, the infamous Hampton Court maze had once been a thing of wonder. A thing Sebastian himself had, at times, retreated within with a lucky lady of the court at his side for the privacy it could so offer them. This, however, was something else entirely. Indeed, he was certain his experience with this particular maze would hardly afford those intimate moments he'd stolen within those hedges. His darkly hued gaze so transversed the encroaching walls of that corn and the darkness that seemed to exist both in front of them and behind them. It was the sound of Dorian's voice that so drew his gaze from the path ahead to the man just ahead of him. That inquiry cause a small shrug to cross the vampire's shoulders as he admitted, "Not in pitch darkness. In this though, yes." His own navy gaze was certainly capable of seeing in this low light, his own race surprisingly superior in a situation as this if only due to his vastly more predatory skills. Still, he could hardly help the way his eyebrow rose ever so slightly as Dorian shifted to so stand behind him.

The man's assurance that this was not due to his own fear caused a small simper of dubiousness to so cross the vampire's features. "Uh huh, well, if you insist, my King." He uttered softly, his tone perhaps a touch more teasing than he had meant it to be and yet, Sebastian was entirely content to lead the way on that singular path that presented itself to them. He could hear the beat of that heart far before the duo had passed that hiding mortal and yet, Sebastian was entirely used to so ignoring his instincts that, by appearance alone, he hardly seemed to register the man's presence. Rather, he pressed on, letting the corn maze monster do it's work as it was so hired to do. Nevertheless, that roar that suddenly echoed right as they were perpendicular to that hidden spot hardly caused the vampire to flinch in the same fashion it so did his companion. Those Italian words caused his lips to peel in a grin as he eyed the man with that dripping knife.

It was, however, Dorian's reaction to such a fright that so pushed the vampire over the edge. That sudden collision with his own frame saw the man's blue eyes waver from their assaulter, the vampire aware in that moment of Dorian's hands clinging so tightly around his waist, that simple utterance of the King's words whilst his heart so hammered in his chest so brought a roll of unjaded laughter from Sebastian's lips. "Dorian." He gasped between his giggles, "It's okay, they are just people in costumes too." Sebastian managed, his merriment dying down to snickering. "The only way to go is forward." He continued with that grin still present upon his features. His arm wrapped around his companion, so drawing him closer to his form, if such a thing was even possible. It was funny really, how in this simple moment, Sebastian understood entirely why courting couples so frequented places such as this - for moment's such as these. Regardless, he led his companion further forward still, following the current line of corn before he met the end of their pathway, the trail splitting off right or left. To their right, Sebastian could hear the sound of that chainsaw, the pair having gotten closer towards that dreaded monster, while to their left there lay nothing but stillness and the wisps of rubber cement thinned to look like the ruined remains of spider webs. "Well....which way shall we go, mon amour?" He inquired, so letting his companion pick his poison.
