Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Arlo James
See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch
If she was aware of his presence she hardly showed it and yet he remains behind her and above all the same, each step carefully placed to lessen the sound as he lingers within the darkness, following along in the wake of the hunter woman. She was fluid in her movements, practiced, Arlo assured he had chosen well tonight and his chances of so cleaning up after whatever she managed to kill were assured. It could only be hoped she found more than that dog, the taste of canine unappealing to him and yet beggars could hardly be choosers he supposed. It mattered little, in the end, a meal was a meal and one he had hardly to work for was surely all the better. That striking azure blue of his gaze remains fixated upon the woman as they move, the vampire prepared to flee should she make any sudden assault upon himself, his eyes so lingering upon her hands and arms- waiting for a sudden movement or a moment of hesitation that might precede her assault and yet finding none so far. The scent of dog, however, was rapidly beginning to permeate the air- the Huntress drawing closer though where it was exactly even Arlo hardly knew. He could hear a plethora of heartbeats, selecting a Weredog's out of that mass of thrums and pulses was a bother he did not wish to entertain tonight.
The hunter pauses then within the mouth of another alleyway, Arlo pausing above her, his own attention shifting towards that new sound as that dirty, scruffy human man stumbled from the darkness- his lank hair and dirty, sweaty skin seeing Arlo's own lip curl in disdain. He was not desperate enough for that, he was sure, the vampire remaining where he was- merely watching that scene below play out. It was not his place to intervene, not in this, the Hunter woman holding a note of hesitation within her voice and yet her heartbeat hardly fluttered with nervousness. Ah, a ruse then. How intriguing. The intentions of the human man were hardly difficult to deduce and yet the woman's falsified fear indicated that she was entirely aware of them too, Arlo almost intrigued to see this interaction play out before that snarl ripped the air, the very dog the woman had been hunting having desired to make its appearance and throw itself into the fray- falling upon the human man as those screams echoed into the air followed so quickly by that sweet, metallic, pungent scent of blood. How glorious it was, even if hardly the type he desired tonight and so pouring from the flesh of such a disagreeable being. His control so rapidly beginning to falter, hands clenching ever so slightly in an effort to hold himself back, his nails biting into his skin in discomfort and yet even that so failed to draw his attention from the scent as the saliva pooled in his jaws.
That battle below is short lived, a sniff of disdain all the vampire is content to offer in response to the human man collapsing onto the ground mere moments later, the canine circling about her fallen victim, hardly seeming to care about the hunter woman- interested only in driving her away while lingering close to her human prey. Were's always had seemed complicated creatures- this one seeming to hold some obsession over her kill to the point she was willing to remain in the Hunter's presence if only to keep it. Maybe the Hunter would kill the dog too and give him double the meal and yet the way this evening was progressing he would be lucky to get even one. The dog was guarding the man, the hunter desired the dog and none was left for Arlo himself. The hooded man scowls briefly within the darkness, so deciding to utilise his chance the moment it should come- waiting for the dog to lunge at the Hunter before he launches himself from the roof, dropping down to land near atop the dead man. Surely the Hunter would be too busy with the dog and the dog with the Hunter in turn for either woman to bother with him, Arlo lifting the limb of the man, licking the blood from his wrist and the wounds upon it before sinking those pointed canines into the man's flesh to drain what was left of him- that blue-eyed gaze lifting ever so briefly to meet the hunter woman's own before he fixates back upon his stolen meal. Lips parted momentarily.
"You shouldn't be watching me, Hunter Girl, the dog is coming for you again."
