Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The young fennec fox was entirely on edge to begin with. That disruption in her pack bond had her feeling anxious already, but it only seemed to be amplified by the screaming of the human woman. For a moment, Edie remained positive that it was her blood that coated Frost's skin. But no, Frost couldn't be so stupid as to attack a human, and it was with that concern alone that Edie voiced that opinion. Within seconds, Edie watched as Frost's gaze seemed to darken - she'd seen that look on his features before, but it had never been directed at her - and that snort escaped him. Edie opened her mouth to speak, finding that her words fell short as her Alpha spoke. His tone was entirely cruel when it came to the young Beta in a way that he had never been, and those words alone had Edie recoiling from him. That tone had, of course, been frequently heard in the others of her home pack. But never from Frost. Never to Edie. The fennec fox pursed her lips together as she turned then, focusing instead on healing the human woman. She cared little for the lack of orders Frost had cared to give her tonight, and cared even less if she would be reprimanded for them later. No, the girl instead was content to focus on the woman whose wounds had stitched shut.

The business-like tone that she was given had the Beta girl pursing her lips together once more. This was not the Frost that she knew so well, and yet she made no effort to protest besides a soft grunt from her lips as she took his weight from his draped arm. Bloody horse was much heavier than he would appear. Still, loyal to Frost as she was, she made no noises of complaint as she led him home and sat him upon those steps. Momentarily, the girl remained so entirely focused on just how she might work to rid her Alpha of the wounds before he spoke and brought her crashing back to the situation at hand. The situation should have horrified her. She should have run screaming from the man - the murderer? - that stood before her. And yet... and yet Edie was forever loyal to Frost. Frost had been the one to take her in when she had nothing. Frost had made her into a stronger version of herself. It was the least that she could do to stand by his side in whatever it was that would ultimately be coming. The simper that came to his lips only made her want to smack him upside the head, her words meant to show him some indication of how afraid he had made her. Still, her eyes were focused dutifully on his as he explained the situation.

"I'm just glad you're alright, Frost," Edie said softly. Her voice cracked at her words, giving way to the fear and anxiety she felt for the situation. Losing Frost would kill her. She loved him so, and the idea of not being at his side made her want to cry. Still, she kept those thoughts to herself and tried to keep those tears in check. Or at least, she did until he reached up and caught her hand in his. His words let those tears well once more in her eyes, and she nodded dutifully as she struggled to keep them from falling. "You better not ever leave me, Frost," She said in that broken voice of hers as she paused, launching into that explanation that they would need a plan. She, somehow, would keep him safe. Focusing on that would help her keep from fretting over him. Or at least she hoped so. The tears had lessened in her eyes, though that emotion threatened to boil over at any moment.

"You won't challenge any of them," Edie ordered as he spoke about the Nightshade pack, though she halted her words almost immediately as she went back to fretting over his wounds. "Or at least, you won't challenge them any time soon. My power can do so much, but you won't challenge them until you're healed." It was all she offered him before she stood, disappearing into the house only to return moments later with the peroxide. She wasn't sure that it would work - after all, what did you use for acid? - and yet she had to try. Edie herself winced as she felt him tense up from the liquid on that wound. "I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Her voice was soft as she tried to offer him some kind of remorse for the pain she was causing him. It was only once her magic urged that wound closed did she lean back, wiping at the sweat that had gathered on her forehead from the extensive use of her magic. "Come on, up." She said after a moment, hoisting him up to his feet only to lead him up the steps and into their home.

She was thankful, entirely so, for his allowing her to settle upon the arm of that chair. There would be no chance in hell that she would leave him tonight. No, she would keep her body close to his if only to make sure he didn't need anything. That was her job, after all. To be there for him in any way he might need. Her own admittance of being scared was already enough to cause the tears to well in her eyes again. But it was his continued words that made those tears spill down her cheeks, though she masked them with a turn of her head and the insistence on protecting him and the pack. She stared at the floor as she listened to his instructions, running a hand through her hair almost absently. "Yes. Of course." She said softly as she took in his commands. It was only then did she slide off the arm of the chair to sit beside him, her body pressed up against his as she curled practically on top of his chest.

"I'm sleeping right here tonight." Edie said softly, leaning up to kiss his cheek in an affectionate manner. "And that's not up for debate." She let out a breath as she settled upon his chest. "Does this all have to do with what you were doing with the Fae Queen? Do I finally get clued in on that?"
