Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
That soft sensation of Dorian's lips against his own only furthered the vampire's desire for that simple taste. How he so relished in those sweet gestures of affection, regardless of all the times he's so taken his boyfriend over and over again. There was little doubt within his mind that love was a decidedly foolish thing and yet, he so utterly found himself taken under by it all the same. His hands slowly reached up to rest against his lover's neck as he let that kiss deepen ever so slightly. He was hardly oblivious to the way his heart beat ever so slightly faster within his chest, nor was he unaware of that likewise slightly quickened pace that best against his finger. That moment, however, was far more fleeting than Sebastian so desired before his lover pulled away from him, offering him a far too mischievous grin before slipping from his lap only to turn around again and present him with an entirely new box to be unwrapped. Sebastian hardly anticipated the near plethora of red underware so nestled between those thin sheets of white tissue paper and yet, it only further served to rekindle the man's curiosity of what this game Dorian had once spoken of was and why it required this particular color of undergarments - much less undergarments in the first place! He knew well, however, that any inquiry of this future spent within Dorian's own palace would remain entirely unanswered, at least for now and so, instead, the vampire hardly asked of it at all.
Rather, his navy gaze slid towards Elizabeth at that derisive snort that so left his nose, his own eyes rolling ever so slightly as he commented on Dorian's preparedness. He watched that slight shrug that crossed his lover's shoulders as the man muttered ever so softly on those garments the King himself had so purchased, so presenting a challenge to the vampire that his ability to see them dependent entirely upon his skills - though in what, Sebastian hadn't the slightest of ideas. Still, the man was relatively assured that regardless of what this game was, and in turn regardless of whether or not he won or lost it, it was still fully within his capabilities to so see Dorian's form rid of all the clothing that surrounded it. That affinity was certainly his trump card, one of which he still had yet to so much to even mention to the King. "Oh, je suis certain que je les verrai, ma bichette." (Oh, I'm entirely certain that I will see them.) He commented, that confidence certainly ringing within those accented words as his so presented the King with a sort of impish look all on his own.
Sebastian watched as Dorian leaned back against the sofa, declaring he quite liked this act of gift giving and yet, in this Sebastian had not yet completed his own carefully selected purchases. It was this softly spoken word that so saw Dorian suddenly shift as he briefly pointed out the box still beneath the tree for the King. A soft sort of simper crossed his features at Dorian's own astonishment that there might yet be another gift for him and yet, in truth, the vampire was perhaps overly fond of this present presenting process, hardly needing a holiday to so prompt such generosity from him. He watched as the fae so unwrapped that small box, lifting the lid only to be presented with that golden colored iPod nestled within. His head tilted to the side as that soft sound of surprise so left the King's lips, clearly delighted with the object only to admit but moment's later that he hadn't the faintest notion of what it even was. That singular announcement of truth so caused a chuckle to leave Sebastian's lips as he reached out to take the offered gadget, turning it on with the singular press of a button.
The vampire hardly paid attention to the sudden shifting of the family around him, entirely focused upon his task as he flipped through any number of songs. Some traditional roles, apparently, still lingered entirely within that home. His own nose twitched ever so slightly as that roast was pulled from the oven, the smell of that meat still coaxing his desire for food. After all, Elaine had never once disappointed him with her cooking prowess. She was, perhaps, the only woman who could so readily bring him to the table. Still, he knew there was still a bit of time to so showcase to his lover his newest addition to his growing collection of gadgets. Gingerly, he plucked one of the headphones, reaching forward to press it with delicate care into Dorian's ear, doing the same with the second one before, glancing upwards at his lover as his thumb tapped that play button. It was Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata he had so chosen to present to his lover, that piece altogether a classic within the music world, known even by those who failed the find the same love of that classical genre as Sebastian himself had. It was with care the vampire checked the volume, ensuring it wasn't too loud to harm the ears of his lover.
A soft hum crossed his own lips at the sound of those altogether lovely piano notes that poured from Dorian's headphones, notes that he could only mutely hear and yet, still, he knew that piece far too well to simply ignore it's presence entirely. It was only Elizabeth's voice calling from the kitchen that caused the vampire to pause ever so slightly, right as the song was coming to the end. Her timing, it would seem was utterly impeccable. He reached up to pluck those headphones from his lover's ears, pressing the stop button on that small screen. "It's a music player. That was Ludwig Van Beethoven. He's perhaps one of the most famous classical composers. I've put a few songs on there, though Samantha can probably help you add more." He commented nonchalantly, a small simper upon his features as he awaiting inquisitively for Dorian's own review of this gift. After all, though he tried to introduce such modern conveniences to his lover slowly, he hadn't the faintest idea of which ones might be too much to bear upon their initial presentation. After all, the sheer amount of comforting required to coax Dorian onto the airplane was still fresh within his mind.
It was the sound of those dishes coming out of the kitchen, however that drew his gaze and slowly Sebastian rose, placing that box of underwear down on the soft before gesturing the King to follow. "It sounds like dinner is done." He commented softly with a warm simper, so leading his lover to that lowly lit room. The room itself was decorated with a green paint, the columns, door frames, and moulding accented with an exquisite gold that seemed to glow from the low light of the candles on the table and the roaring hearth within. The table itself was set with golden hued plates and in the center was an exquisite spread of roast, stuffing, gravy, potatoes, brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce, pigs in a blanket, and yorkshire pudding. The smells alone were altogether delectable, the sheer feast surely must have taken the women the majority of the day and yet, it looked absolutely appetizing, even to the deceased Englishman. A warm grin settled on his features as he took his spot at the head of the table, gesturing to the empty chair to his right, the place quite clearly reserved especially for Dorian alone.
