Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

During his younger years as a creature of the night, he'd hardly considered his long life a particular blessing, much less the fashion in which he'd had to struggle to so bring himself back to that position his family had once held and the lifestyle he had been used to. Now, however, with the fae King at his side, the vampire was willing to admit that, perhaps, he had been blessed to be afforded the near array of life experiences. He had witnessed a veritable array of weather patterns across the entirety of that world, from the ominous clouds of a stirring tornado to the balmy breezy perfection of those coastal islands. To be denied something as simple as snow was altogether a dejecting thought, though one the vampire saw fit not to comment on as Dorian so sought to immortalize this moment if only to marvel his court with all he had seen and done. To show them all those things that they had too had been denied. It was that simple notion that coaxed the vampire, in turn, to so greatly desire to subject Dorian the world that existed around them, to experience all those moments in foreign countries with foreign people and foreign things. It was that wish that surely propelled his inability to say no to the King, even if they would certainly be cutting it close with that infamous London's Eye.

Either way, the vampire's fingers all too easily laced within his lover's own, guiding him to that stand at the base of that large Ferris Wheel. With the additional funds Sebastian was so willing to spend when it came to the fae King at his side, the pair hardly had to wait long before they were ushered into that large oval shaped capsule, that wall of windows so freely offering them what would be an unparalleled view of the city. And yet, even that was made all the better with the presence of a steaming mug of hot chocolate so nestled within their hands. For those first few moments, Sebastian was all too willing to settle upon those few benches that lined the inside of that pod of sorts, allowing his lover to so find comfort within his own continual placidity as the wheel slowly started to lurch forward with a pace more akin to a snail then any true Ferris Wheel. That movement was altogether smooth and, once he was assured the King was not going to do anything rash in those nerves he could all too easily feel, the vampire moved, rising only to linger before the glass and stare out at the lights of his magnificent city. How things had changed since he'd seen it last!

That comment that it rose higher in the air then Dorian had anticipated brought a small simper to the vampire's lips. "The sign said it was four hundred and forty three feet high." He commented idly, though in truth the number scarcely compared to the height now that they were experiencing it entirely on their own. "I think it's one of the higher ones in the world." He added after a moment's consideration at Dorian's mention of the one that had made it's home upon the beaches of Sacrosanct. He was fond of that city, there were no doubts, with all it's catering to his kind, and yet it paled in comparison to that home country he so deeply cherished. Sebastian's gaze turned from that city that surrounded them, briefly eying the King in his periphery vision as he watched the man so tightly grip that railing. With his free hand, the vampire reached over, stepping closer towards his lover as his fingers fell gingerly upon Dorian's waist in an ever subtle reminder that he had no reason to fear even these heights. After all, Sebastian had made a promise to him, all those months ago and had every intention to see it through.

He sipped upon that hot chocolate, those blue eyes slowly shifting back to that breathtaking view of that city, even despite the late hour the lights were wholly mesmerizing. His head shook ever so slightly at Dorian's question, "No...I left London in 1881, since then I've been back a scare few times here and there but never for very long. A lot has changed since then." His business affairs, more often the not, had driven the vampire to Northern England, even if it scare compared to the spiraling metropolis that surrounded them. He fell silent as they continued to rise, so noting those very buildings he had so uttered the names of before. Distinctly little thought was given towards that palace he had mentioned, at least, not until his lover's question so pulled at his attention. "In Buckingham?" He inquired before shaking his head, "No, they still see Dukes and Ambassadors upon occasion, the Queen also does dinners to award medals of honor but it has become more of a position of ceremony of late. Of course she has to sign into effect all the laws Parliament desires but I doubt she even looks into them much. I'm afraid my title has come to mean very little." He paused, his gaze scanning the horizon before he gestured with cup still in hand to a large building far closer to them. "Oh, there, that is the House of Parliament. And over there is Westminster's Cathedral...and...there is the Royal Opera House." He commented, so identifying those older buildings he knew by facade alone.

Sebastian fell silent but moment's later, listening inquisitively as Dorian so spoke of that monarch long past whom he had the pleasure of meeting. His own head tilted ever so slightly to the side as he eyed the profile of the King beside him. More often than not, Sebastian found himself simply forgetting the number of years that had so spanned before Dorian's gaze, the people he had seen come and go of such notable fame. Even his own immortality sometimes made it difficult to consider life beyond those ages he had lived. "Hm." The vampire commented softly with a small shrug upon his shoulders. He had been taught of this war well enough, and the rulers that had come before those whose rule he'd lived through, however, they were but little more than names in a history book, altogether meaningless to him. What did so catch his interest, however, was the simple fact that this King had so struggled if only for the soul he'd named himself to. Hopefully, Dorian's own advisors would be far more approving than those of that dead King.

His gaze refocused on the window as they slowly came to the apex of that frame, so affording them a decidedly magnificent view from all angles of the pod. The vampire continued to sip upon that hot chocolate, releasing his hold upon his lover only for the man to place his own, now empty cup, on the bench behind them. He watched as Dorian leaned against the railing, resting his chin upon his hand and slowly, Sebastian's own gaze turned back out to that bright, sparkling horizon. A soft chuckle left his lips as Dorian so commented upon his own lack of knowledge in those first few days of his decided 'freedom' from that palace. His head shook ever so slightly before Sebastian saw fit to retort with his own clear hint of teasing within those baritone lyrics. "You've proven to be an...adequate learner, I suppose."
