Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Any further advise the vampire had held for his lover was immediately quieted by the presence of sun upon the horizon. His responses came slower, his long eyelashes fluttered close over those crystalline eyes and his body stilled, leaving behind but a quickly cooling corpse. He was hardly aware of that alarm that blared annoyingly but hours later, much less the shift of his companion at his side as his lover rose to face that meeting in which he was wholly disappointed with his inability to attend. Though he had little doubt on his lover's abilities to preside over his courts and, in turn, his own country, he could hardly help the apprehension that always seemed to arise within him at the simple thought of Dorian facing that modern world alone. Still, he was entirely unaware of his lover's movements within that room, much less the tie thrown upon the bed in that early morning frustration. That distinct care the fae King had taken to ensure his warmth was too met with obliviousness, the man entirely lost within those moments to that icy grip of death. His body stirred but ever so slightly as that door was opened, the sunlight momentarily streaming in, even if it scarcely touched the vampire hidden safely behind those thick curtains and yet, the moment was fleeting before he was lost to oblivion once again.
It wasn't until hours later, when that sunlight had once again given way to his precious stars that the vampire began to stir, his heart thrumming with life as that first breath slowly filled his lungs. He was aware of the warmth in the room as his gaze fluttered open, just as he was aware immediately of Dorian's lack of presence at his side. The vampire's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly until that familiar voice called out to him. A soft yawn crossed his lips as the man slowly raised to his hands, his darkly hues gaze drifted across the room to so locate where 'here' was. Sebastian scarcely had a moment to wake before his lover sought to inform him of that very meeting they had both held a measure of concern for. Still, the vampire hardly interrupted, instead rubbing the sleep from his eyes in the process. That death was always incredibly difficult for the man to shake. Still, he could tell well the sound of strain within Dorian's voice, one that was altogether peculiar enough to coax the still tired vampire from his place within those comfortable sheets on the Monarch's bed.
Instead, Sebastian pulled his naked form from those sheets, his feet padding against the wooden floor and towards that sofa that spoke to him. Sebastian leaned against the back of couch, setting his cheek against his palms as he listened to his lover speak of his observations of the two individuals that had been present. A small frown crossed his features at the number of events the pair had been invited to attend and yet, his head merely bobbed ever so slightly in response. "I am not opposed, Ma Biche." He uttered simply. After all he'd known from the beginning that this portion of his journey was entirely dedicated to assisting his lover in re-establishing his hold upon Italy - regardless of what it would take. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly at the mention of the President, the sound of him alone was enough to produce an instant dislike for the man and yet, a small, sad simper slowly crossed his features at the 'issues' this very man had with his lover and, in turn, himself. He knew the likelihood of something such as this occurring, hell, he'd been waiting for it from the very beginning.
Scarcely a word left his lips in those moments as the vampire simply watched his companion, all too aware of that look of discontent upon the man's features. Instead, he remained ever patient as Dorian voiced his apology, the Englishman's head shook ever so slightly as if to say it was hardly necessary. He could hardly deny that he was surprised at the presence of yet another guest, much less one that knew too of his own existence and yet, he hardly saw a reason to question after this - at least, not yet. The vampire rose, making his way around that sofa to settle upon the edge of it, his fingers reached out, delicately brushing against his lover's flesh. "Did you get any sleep, Dorian?" He inquired softly, the man far more concerned for the comfort of his companion then those very things that President had surely implied of their relationship. After all, the ammunition against them was certainly aplenty, even the vampire was well aware of that. Dorian was the first Monarch of modern day culture to announce his sexuality in such a fashion. The recognition of such couples had only just made but a few months prior and even then, same-sex marriage was still illegal. Still, Dorian had chosen him and Sebastian was determined to ensure he hardly let the man down.
A small simper crossed his lips as he leaned down, pressing his lips against Dorian's own in a sweet kiss. "Just one more, and then we can spend all evening on the sofa if you want." He uttered, "We can always go out tomorrow night, okay, my love?" His finger's rose to take his lover's wrist away from his face, instead bringing it to his own lips to gingerly press against that vein in yet another show of affection. Tonight, it would seem, the King needed his support and Sebastian was all too willing to give it. Rather, in an effort to coax the man further, the vampire turned his attention finally to that individual that would be waiting for them in but an hour's time. "Who are we meeting tonight?" He inquired, unable to help the curiosity from his voice, and yet, despite the impending engagement, he was entirely content to remain settled on the edge of that sofa with scare any clothing for but a little bit longer.
