Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Nadya Tetradore
Nadya wasn't about to spoil the twin's fun even if Frost was breaking the rule of keeping away from her. The twin's were much too young to bring them into the complicated adult world that surrounded the Nightshade and Chimera pack. So for now Nadya only lingered back and watched Izzy and Micah have fun. She wasn't willing to offer much to Frost besides the facts. Emotions shouldn't be a part of it, right? Of course Nadya knew very well about her brother's resurrection so Frost's comment about his suspicion of it caused her lips to purse though it could be seen as displeasure about his death in general.
Nadya was quick to retort back at Frost concerning his opinion of not being a threat. "And I thought you weren't a threat after the first fight with the Ark but then you went and had an adult man-tantrum on my best friend." Yes, she had decided to label his illusion torturing as a man-tantrum. Obviously from Nadya remaining in the doorway she had meant to keep her distance from Frost tonight. However, that seemed like it wasn't going to be an option the moment Micah had decided to create a very awkward situation indeed by calling Frost dada. Nadya's entire body seized before quickly pulling herself from the doorframe to gather Micah up and away from the stallion with a muttered excuse for the child. Micah didn't give any protest to being pulled away and settled easily on his mother's hip with his gaze moving back to follow the fluttering insects.
"You don't think I have a plan? I've already started to look for a studio in the North. I made plenty from the sale of the burlesque and the profit made while there that it's no problem to start over." It felt almost like an insult that Frost would think she hadn't gone into this with thought. She wasn't like others who followed a dream without having ducks in a row. The twins may have been unplanned but her business-life was anything but. "There are things called school buses you know and the twins do have a babysitter. They don't have to do dance but it'll be a safe place for them and- Izzy! Don't put that in your mouth!!" The young mother was distracted when she glanced down at her daughter just in time to see Izzy having just caught one of the purple butterflies and stuff the flailing creature with both little hands into her mouth.
Nadya quickly abandoned Micah onto the catch in order to bend down, taking Izzy's head with one hand and using her other fingers to dig into the toddler's mouth. Micah easily rolled onto his knees and grasp at Frost's pant leg where he was situated on the arm of the couch in order to pull himself up to his feet. "Dada." He grinned cheekily around his pacifier at Frost before leaning forward in order to try to reach for the horse toy on the man's knees. Nadya had successfully removed the illusion from Izzy's mouth finally, the girl having been unwilling to release her catch whether that was due to her feline nature or toddler stubbornness was hard to tell. A heavy sigh left her lips as she collapsed to be kneeling next to Izzy as the illusion returned to fluttering back, "Why are you playing inquisition tonight?" Her cocoa colored eyes turning on Frost. There wasn't really anger in her tone but tired curiosity. She was used to his quiet self.
"I signed up to doing things alone the moment I decided to keep the twins." She had the option of ending the pregnancy and everything in her pack remaining more or less intact. "I knew the consequences and I've spent the last two years doing just that. It's not something you can just...stop." Nadya pinched briefly at the bridge of her nose which was a rare gesture of frustration. How much she wanted that ideal family for her and her children. How much she wanted to tell her brother that she had found someone who cared for her and her children and would be going to live with him. But how could she do that to Tet when he had only just returned? Nadya glanced between the twins before sighing again. "Well, if you want to help so much, the twins need a bath. You can either help me bathe them so I can get them into bed or sit out here all by yourself." She rose back to her feet, picking up Izzy in the process, eyeing Frost in curiosity of what he'll choose.
