Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
every king had a story, of ancient glory,sweetly told
Dorian was oblivious, truly, to his lover's utter determination to have their evening end on a far higher note then the rest of it surely had been. That exhaustion clung heavily to his own frame, both his mind and body utterly spent for one evening. Dorian having failed to experience this sort of eclipsing stress in so very long that his body was left drained in the wake of it as his eyes dared to flutter closed, if only to rest them for a minute. Sebastian's very presence against him and with one arm wrapped around him brought with it a glorious sense of security that only further lulled the Fae into assurance that all was right with the world. That for all the terrible things that had occurred this evening they had surely survived them and nothing could be too terribly wrong if this was where he had ended up at the end of it. Even the mere scent of that man he so adored was entirely calming to him, the Fae so struck with a simply sense of rightness. That this was most surely exactly where he belonged in the world. That simply utterance off his lovers voice so managed to coax his gaze to open once more, the inquiry of that chocolate stirring a warm simper to his lips in the simple amusement of it. After all they had been through tonight Sebastian still worried off that chocolate! But of course he would! Dorian so content to find his Consorts utter love of that substance so entirely endearing as that chuckle rose softly within his throat then.
He had, perhaps, so considered that vampire in those moments before when he had set about cleaning up the apartment in the wake of Anna-Marie's tirade. Dorian having slipped several of those treats into his pocket with the intent of sharing them with his lover only to promptly forget about them in those moments immediately after Sebastian's return. That near impish grin danced readily upon his features as he assured his Consort that not only had he tried those delectable chocolates but that he had several off them upon his person now, that look of intrigue upon the vampires features only furthering that grin as Dorian so proceeded to pluck one from his pocket. It was a simple matter then, to unwrap that treat and balance it precariously upon his lover's nose. Dorian entirely inclined to indulge that almost ridiculous side of himself tonight as he set about challenging his lover to reach the tip of his nose with his tongue, Sebastian setting about that task with perhaps more vigour then even Dorian had anticipated he might. The vampire falling dreadfully short each time. Dorian utterly unable to prevent that laughter that fell richly from his lips at the sight of something so ridiculous before that treat at last tumbled to the side and onto the bed. Sebastian snatching it up hurriedly to slip it within his mouth as Dorian merely chuckled once more.
His own figure rolled easily to the side then, grasping that drink to take another sip of it, the man rather adoring that creation, before falling onto his back as Sebastian rolled onto his side in turn, Dorian inquiring as to whether his lover might desire to see that truly un-royal trick. That ready nod from his lovers head saw Dorian easily toss that chocolate upward, catching it within his mouth a moment later. The Monarch truly pleased with his efforts in this. The man rarely given to such playful notions when it so came to food. Sebastian's assurance he now desired to throw food at him was met with a readily playful eye-roll. Dorian assured the man might well get that chance tomorrow when they returned for that rest of those treats within the bag downstairs. This very idea however, that Sebastian could tie a cherry stem with his tongue was met with clear surprise, both the Monarch's eyes lifting with the gesture. The man quite assured he had never heard off such a trick before, unsavoury as it had surely been within hit say and age and yet that hardly lessened his desire to see it. The Monarch assured he need remember this the next time his lover had a cherry. His shoulders for now, merely lifting into a teasing shrug of sorts.
"Well, I suppose that is not surprising. You have always had a talent for using your tongue."
That soft chuckle teased at his lips once more, that innuendo falling readily from them all the same before Dorian reached for yet another chocolate, the man affording Sebastian little time to consider that game before abruptly disappearing from view- that chocolate right along with him. That small sink within the bed disappeared a moment later, Dorian so momentarily truly invisible before those sheets were suddenly cast upward. The very clear figure sitting beneath those blanket surely giving way to his location, his effort at hiding truly abysmal in every sense as his fingers plucked at that paper- threatening to undo it lest Sebastian was truly swift in his efforts to discover him- that vampire appearing a moment later to peer beneath the sheets and towards him. His own silver gaze was cast readily downward at that gleaming bright red thread that had appeared, the Fae unable to prevent that simper at the sight of it as it pooled about him before ultimately leading back to Sebastian himself. The vampire, it seemed, forever having a method to locate him. Fate itself having bound them together. His gaze resting thoughtfully on that red thread a moment, picking a part of it up delicately within his hands before offering playfully;
"Does it not ever get twisted or knotted? It should forever bother me if it was not perfectly ordered. I think this is why I do not have this power. I'd fuss with it far too much every time I saw a tangled thread. People would think me very obscure while I circled about them chasing things they could not see."
That hand that was held expectantly out readily saw the Monarch relinquish that last chocolate, placing it within Sebastian's hand now only to have the vampire duck beneath those covers too and make his way down towards him until they both existed in that makeshift and childish fort. Dorian so unable to keep that grin from his lips now as Sebastian so suddenly offered a tale of sorts of just what else he had been doing that evening before his return home. Dorian readily allowed himself to become visible once more as Sebastian reached out to him, the man entirely willing to allow himself to be drawn back against his lover. His head tilted up easily, lips pressing in that sweet, affectionate kiss to the underside of Sebastian's jaw before he settled against him. What on earth his lover was doing with Dark Hunters he hardly knew, his eyes rising slightly before that very idea that he himself was kidnapped and being held against his will with magic as some sort of food supply saw that grin dance back upon his features, a chuckle falling from his lips.
"You may hold me captive if you desire. I wouldn't even mind at all. I would be a model prisoner. Although.....I shall require you to bring me art supplies, chocolate, wine and books. Can you manage this, Mon Cher?"
That this surely voided the 'unwilling' part of that supposed kidnapping had hardly occurred to him, his gaze glancing upward at the vampire again with that ready amusement, Dorian almost reluctant to move from beneath those covers if only for the simple sanctuary they provided from the world at large and yet he was quite certain this would not at all be a sensible place to sleep. He shifted but slightly within Sebastian's arms, moving to pull that blanket down so their heads in the least were uncovered, his hair so sticking up at all angles as he lay back against his pillow, nestling himself further into Sebastian's embrace as he did.
"Bastian? Tomorrow, I think we should spend the night in bed."
