Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

We're all rotten, buried and forgotten,

Living it up underground

Harley was convinced that her handy work was not that bad considering how old they were. She had practice, lots of practice with her mother's make up. A still up to no good look appeared upon her face. "I assure you, my skills have improved. If you want I can goth you up a bit, but I gotta say you are owning the pale look." She teased, but there was some truth to her words. She always remembered her with a natural blush to her cheeks. Was she not eating enough? Maybe she turned vegetarian and needed iron and b's. It was enough that Harley decided to tease her about it before a knock on the door broke them out of their reverie.

She idly looks at the pictures upon the desk and yet painfully aware and curious of the person at the door. Yeah, the woman was a little jumpy, but judging from her track record she deserved it. She couldn't help but keep her senses honed for signs of distress just in case there was an unwelcomed guest at the door. It had been a long time since someone knocked at her door, maybe it had to do with the moving from place to place to avoid another catastrophe. Or maybe Harley was just getting to damn paranoid for her own good.

She peered down at the desk and found a photograph of when she was not much older than 8 and the girls had dressed up for Halloween. Harley looked entirely sour because her mom wouldn't let her be a zombie. Instead she was forced to be a pretty princess in pink. She could easily see the grimace upon her much younger features. She snickered to herself. The nostalgia hit her in the heart. It had been so long since her parent's death but damn there were times where she still missed them.

Damon entered with Isolt, hand in hand. It was loud and clear even as Isolt introduced the man that he was Damon. He really filled a room, it was something about him. Regardless, she stood making herself bigger than she actually was. She wasn't going to be intimidated. Hell, could Harley ever be intimidated? So the introductions left this strange tension in the room that could be cut with a steak knife but most of her interactions, at first anyways, always seemed to land that way. She wasn't exactly a fresh breeze or a walk in the park. She sizes them up together. They looked like a movie star couple, fresh out of the movies. But looks didn't mean shit if the guy was a controlling, abusive asshole.

Oh hell yes she did have secrets, he nailed that one the nose. "I have a lot of things." she admitted cryptically, speaking of none of them. Over the years Harley and Isolt had their fair share of skeletons rotting in their closet. She grinned at him that dared him to press further, it was one of those smiles that said if you go there you're going to get a world of suffering. Her violet eyes narrowing as she viewed him carefully. It really wasn't any of his business now was it. Sure he was Isolt's chosen loved one, lover or whatever you wanted to call it, but she would cut right through him to see what he was made of. She has way too much in the world and not enough good. She was sceptical of everyone until proven otherwise. Isolt was sometimes trusting and far too hopeful of the good in others.

"You need chocolate and gifts to get into the mood and you are not even newly weds yet? Uh oh." She teased, unable to help the sarcastic words that flow from her mouth. "But hey, who am I to judge, I'm not the banging police. But you know they have books if you're looking to learn a thing or two." A playful look crosses her features, peering at Isolt. She expected her to be redder than an apple. Believe it or not, this was Harley playing nice.

Harley looked at him up and down with an inquisitive and almost confused face when he offered her a chair. The man was trying to be a gentleman, she really didn't know how to view the gesture. She really didn't hang around gentlemen, the notion was odd to her. She just about ruffled her feathers at him but he did have a point. The raven woman did have to get to know him. She didn't know all that much, only that Isolt was head over heels for the gentleman. The skeptic in her wondered if he were putting on an act to get brownie points, but he was going to have to prove a lot more than to pretend to be the gallant Damon. She wanted to break down that façade which so many of Isolt's old boyfriends failed. For Isolt's, sake she puts the negative contemplation aside and glides toward the empty chair. "For the record, I don't curtsey." she uttered idly. Her caboose finds the chair folding her leg over the other one, sitting back with a casual ease. She drew in a breath, ok so this was going to be interesting, she could already tell.

Isolt sat very daintily into the chair Damon pulled out for her, she could have made blowing her nose look elegant. Isolt tried to ease the tension, casually pulling out a picture of a partially toothless Isolt. Harley lit up for a moment remembering the memory. It was a simpler time. She bit back a bark of laughter. "Oh man...There was so much blood, I thought you were going to die, Isolt. I think that was the same day I kicked Aaron in the balls when he wasn't playing fair. I don't think Adrien was too happy with us even though I think he secretly liked to see what we would get into next.." She laughed genuine at the memory, amused at the remembrance she had thought was long forgotten. It was amazing what pictures could bring back. She missed her brother, she wondered if she would ever see Adrien again. It probably wasn't likely. The dark hunter was most likely and possibly dead.

She shifted in her seat, her eyes panning in a well-focused stare directed at Damon. "So you know a lot about me and I know nothing about you. Let's change that shall we?" There was a secret challenge in her voice. About what who the hell knew what, but she needed to know more about the man Isolt was marrying. She was no doubt going to swept away, moving in with the man and.. possibly start a family. She could hardly imagine the idea for herself, she wasn't ever that kind of girl to live the white picket fence life. Yet, she was interested only because Isolt was going to be lost to it. How freaking sad would it be that they had just found one another again only to drift apart again. It made sense, it was what people did. She wouldn't hate her for it but she just had to make damn sure that the man that was doing the sweeping away was worth it.
