Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

The realization of the Englishman's soon to be newfound position in life as a member of Italian royalty had not truly dawned upon him - not yet. He was used to, in some degree, simply drifting by on the wayside as the Monarch he so desperately loved saw to not only his country but the people that had come to rely upon him. He was used to simply being the figure on Dorian's arm, to be that protective, handsome smiling face amongst the throng of staff and guards that so often surrounded the King. That talk of what he would be after their marriage was one that Sebastian both avoided vehemently and one that, truly, he found himself not terribly all that concerned of at the exact same moment. After all, though he was often treated with noteable respect within Dorian's palaces, the pair had not yet truly had a situation in which the authority he'd somehow acquired and the effect the position he had on others had been fully realized. The title of Prince, after all, was hardly one Sebastian had ever strove to achieve. He was wholly unaware of the humor Dorian found in his distinct naivety of the lengths others would go for him. The vampire was wholly baffled by that effort that had so gone into that chocolate just to appease them when the store had already gone to such lengths for their visitation as it was.

Such thoughts, however, were quickly forgotten in the wake of Dorian's announcement that, surely, he was capable of crafting something just as delicate with that rather peculiar medium. It was a notion that Sebastian was all too willing to latch onto, if only for the prospect of more chocolate to consume, as if the bag in his hands would not already keep him occupied for long enough as it was. Still, he made every effort to encourage the fae Monarch, to the point of gesturing towards those chocolates Dorian was surely capable of using if he so desired it. His head bobbed ever so slightly at the suggestion of attempting to perfect such a craft outside, at least in that first endeavor. There was, he was sure, a mess to be had when molding melted chocolate. In fact, Sebastian was rather certain Dorian was likely to get such a thing everywhere. Those bright blue eyes slowly slid towards his lover's figure, the vampire near unable to help those salacious thoughts of assisting the King in...cleaning up, so to speak. Even so, he could hardly help that soft chuckle that left his lips at Dorian's insistence that he was altogether likely to eat them all if they fell in his care, the vampire hardly bothering to fight this simple fact as he called after his lover. "Make sure to get a bar of white chocolate too - it's bloody delicious."

That simper remained upon his features as he turned his own attention back towards that display case, the vampire eying the depths of this one with a measure of criticalness before those requests fell from his lips. He was already busy filling that bag with all sorts of treats when the Monarch had returned to his side, the Englishman quite near delighted to drag the fae from display to display, filling that singular bag with a veritable treasure trove of delectable things to later consume. That delight hardly wavered even as Dorian left his side, the vampire quite near determined to use the most out of that rare opportunity he was given to indulge that sweet tooth he had. It wasn't until that bag will near filled to the brim with those chocolates that Sebastian retreated from those display cases, the man eternally drawn to his fiancee as he meandered towards the lounge. Sebastian settled beside the fae Monarch, that bag placed before the pair of them upon the table. He was altogether certain that when they returned to Matteo's estate, he might need to raid the pantry for some sort of better bagging system, that white bag quite near bulging in some areas. That sudden outstretch of Dorian's hand, prompted an almost impish grin upon his features as he eyed those chocolates near the top of the bag. Deciding which one to first subject the King too was far more difficult of a task then he had quite prepared himself for and yet, in the end, it was that English treat he selected from that bag.

Sebastian broke off a small piece of that hard toffee, placing a bit within the King's palm before letting another small slice slide between his own lips. That taste! It was near heavenly! The caramel was nutty and full of flavor, the chocolate rich and filled with a more cocoa taste to offset that sweetness. It was a near perfect balance as those sugars near melted in his mouth from that precarious sucking of that sticky substance. His gaze, however, remained entirely steady upon the man at his side, the vampire watched with an almost bemused look as the King bit into that bit of toffee, already well aware of how much Dorian would surely regret such a decision. That grin only proceeded to grow as Dorian's tongue proceeded to flick at his teeth, clearly attempting to dislodge that caramel. That idle comment prompted a warm chuckle from his lips, his head bobbing ever so slightly in the process. "It is." He agreed. Those bright blue eyes glanced up and away from the Monarch only at the sudden approach of a young woman with a carefully wrapped box within her hands. He watched as Dorian took the offered box, his own attention shifted towards that bag of treats, already considering which one he'd like to try next.

It was that long chocolate pretzel stick that eventually was selected from that array of chocolates, the vampire placing that tip of that stick in his mouth as he broke off another piece of that toffee for his lover. He was more than content to simply nibble upon that dipped stick, his attention readily turning back towards the King in a curious fashion at the simple mention of that project Dorian had taken up without his notice. He was altogether quick to offer that assurance that he did indeed wish to see what the King clearly desired to show him, his gaze following the fae's movements as Dorian reached into his pocket to fish for that phone and flicked across that screen. The vampire hardly anticipated that photo he was shown in those few moments after, the man simply staring at that photo quite near blankly, the pretzel still positioned between his lips, even if he was no longer nibbling upon it. Though that explanation provided some description to what he was looking at, it too only served to bring up those very concerns that Sebastian had been making such an effort to avoid. There was still so much about their upcoming nuptials that the man was entirely apprehensive of voicing to his fiancee - such as their crest and their new last name and which one of them was supposed to walk down the aisle or if either of them were going to. So much of his previous wedding was left to his wife's decisions that to take an active role in those minute decisions was rather stressful for the Englishman.

Even so, Sebastian made every effort to reassure the King that the drawing itself was altogether lovely. The lion was a near perfect replica of his own, standing in the same fashion that they did upon that crest that was engraved in Belton's very walls. That griffin that stood opposite of him was equally as lovely, with that more modern twist. All in all, Dorian had done particularly well, even if the very center remained unfilled and that banner below was left blank. That piece of chocolate was slowly put back down into the bag, his hand reaching up to run through his hair as the vampire considered those words that were to fall, entirely aware that he could no longer avoid that inquiry on what Dorian expected out of him. Those words fell with marked hesitation from his lips, his heart surely beating far faster in that moment as he waited near breathlessly for that sentence, altogether dreading the words that might fall from Dorian's lips. That silence felt as if it lasted for an eternity and yet, that idle inquiry that he was finally presented with was hardly an answer at all! A soft breath left his lips, his gaze darting elsewhere in that shop as he considered his own response. After all, he could hardly tell Dorian that he'd been worried over such a thing long before he'd proposed - or that it was this very fact of names that had prompted him to reconsider the proposal process on two occasions that he could remember. Arlo, after all, had received the brunt of that first initial panic.

A soft sigh left his lips, his shoulders shrugged ever so slightly in a vague response. "I don't know...a while, I guess." The vampire commented, the floor suddenly vastly interesting in the wake of this rather uncomfortable admittance. When it came to Dorian, Sebastian made every effort to near avoid anything that might make the King unhappy with him, this topic one he was certainly hesitant to brooch. "I just...I promised my father on his deathbed that I would keep all of our homes for as long as I could....with our crest and....our name and...I mean, I know he's dead but..." The man paused, almost desperate to provide some sort explanation that might make Dorian understand. "...but I promised." He knew how surely silly most would have viewed him, for keeping his word for so very long and yet, Sebastian's family had once meant everything to him. His gaze tentatively turned towards the King in the wake of those words and the silence that persisted. That gentle shake of Dorian's head hardly went unnoticed and yet, he listened astutely to every syllable the Monarch offered him.

Sebastian could hardly help the fashion at which he quite near visibly relaxed at Dorian's assurance that he certainly had no intention of asking or expecting him to change thost pieces of his home and his businesses. His head bobbed ever so slightly in understanding in the wake of those words, words which Sebastian certainly had needed to hear. He knew well of all that Dorian was capable of asking of him, after all, he had seen in his own country's monarch what sort of sacrifices might be necessary to marry royalty and yet, they had clearly been sacrifices he was either willing to make or trusting Dorian with, though which he wasn't entirely sure. That this one would not be required of him somehow made all the others seem less concerning, in some way, even if he was not yet sure if he was prepared to discuss those other topics of their upcoming wedding that still made him fret. His gaze fluttered back towards the Monarch as Dorian shifted, reaching for that coin that hung around his neck, the very one Sebastian had given him all those months ago. He watched the way Dorian quite near cradled that coin in his hand, that insistence that the King was fond of that coin had a fashion of bringing that smile back to his features.

A small simper crawled across his features as he watched the way Dorian quite near cradled that coin, that insistence that Dorian was fond of that coin had a fashion of bringing that smile back. His hand rose, his fingers reaching forward to brush against Dorian's jawline, tilting his lover's face ever just so as he leaned forward to press his lips against his fiancee's. That kiss was wholly tender and sweet, meant to be vastly more loving than that lust he so often attempted to coax from the king. Slowly, Sebastian pulled away ever so slightly. "Thank you, Ma Biche, for understand...and for tonight. This was glorious."
