Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

Dorian was, by his very nature, a being hardly inclined to anger in any real sense. His disdain was often a short lived thing, when it occurred at all. The Monarch far more famed for his good temperament then any truly negative persuasion to irritability. That single apology from the other Fae seemingly enough to return him to some measure placidity in the least. His head nodded in that simple, polite acceptance of that gesture. He was hardly ready to trust the woman again, at least not so soon and yet- even despite her transgressions- he was willing enough to at least tolerate her existence and treat her with that civility once more. He would be a terribly poor advisor, after all, if he was prone to grudges. Rather, he had merely learned that the girl was impatient, hot-headed and not in possession of the same measure of honour he had come to expect from most. They were hardly poor qualities in any sense, indeed there was a place for them in the world and yet he would not be quick to forget what he knew of her in turn. Nor of what he had learned of Andras in those moments either. Dorian decidedly impressed with the man's capabilities as a leader in those few moments even if he offered no such praise for now.

That progression up that small rise saw the Fae Monarch pause once more with that easy wave of his hand to allow the others to continue on if they chose, his own form crouching on that path as he cleared the snow from it. His hand reached easily into his back pocket to pluck that treasured white pastel from it before pressing it to that stone and beginning to draw that fine coat with a measured ease. His skills as an artist decidedly assured. The man working with a simple, methodical sense. Dorian glancing briefly sideways at Navi's tentative approach once more, that soft question upon her lips prompting a nod off his head.

"That it is."

He replied softly. Dorian adding those final touches then, that white colour giving way to a myriad of other tones, the Fae capable of colouring that picture in any colour imaginable. The man settling for his preferred shades before reaching suddenly into that brick itself to pull a very real jacket from its depths. His hand merely brushed that brick dust from it before he swung it onto his shoulders, pulling his arms within before zipping it neatly up as if the entire production was nothing short of mundane. Dorian rarely choosing to display his powers in any sense and yet he promptly refused to be cold. Sebastian would be nothing short of distressed if he returned with so much as a sniffle and frankly the Fae did not wish to insight that state of worry within his lover. The vampire near impossible to get out of that mood once he was in it. Troy's comment of the 'neatness' of that trick saw the Italian readily glance upward, that grin upon his features then. Andras' own words earning the man a ready nod.

"It is indeed very practical. I fear I shall have to assess your artistic abilities first, Andras."

That soft chuckle rose within his throat at that gentle tease. Dorian, now warm, content to join the rest of that party as they made their way up that small rise to look down on that sprawling city below. The man merely left blinking in that simple surprise at what lay before him. He had, in all his life, never quite seen anything like this. That confusion readily tugged at his features along with that curiosity, his mind so readily attempting to understand just what existed there. The concept of portals and worlds so terribly new to the man that he simply struggled to truly perceive the idea of it at all. Those murmurs of awe and stout vows not to reveal the secrets of that city that echoed from the group at large where hardly missed. Dorian finding those simple questions upon his lips now. After all, he too was a King, an understanding of functionality was near critical to the man. That sudden question from Troy however saw his attention deviate to the other man, the silver off his gaze meeting Troy's own then as the Monarch contemplated those words. Did it matter, truly, if Troy knew the truth? Dorian sighing softly then.

"I am only half Fae by blood, Troy. My mother was a human woman. Isabella of Clemont. She married Ferdinand the first, King of Naples in the fourteen hundreds. She became Queen. He too was human and together they had a number of children. However, during one of his campaigns, when he was away many months, she engaged in an affair with one of her bannerman. The French Fae that would become my Father. I was born an illegitimate Prince of Italy. It was purely by fate and luck that I came into my crown. Yet I was born into a human Kingdom, not a Fae one. While I grew up within the palace I didn't even know I was Fae until I was six years old. For many years Matteo, the French fae who fathered me and who would visit in secret, was the only other Fae I ever knew."

It was a truth he very really offered any other if only because that truth had threatened, more then once, to destabilise his own government and until he had fully consulted with his own royal lawyers the Monarch was yet to admit to that truth that many within Italy and even his own court had long suspected. That Dorian was no child of Ferdinands. Still, was he not among friends? If they could keep the secret of Sommia then surely they could keep that truth off his birth to themselves until a time came in which he was ready to announce that notion to the public and his lawyers assured him it would not weaken his legitimacy as King in any sense. He suspected it would not. Not with his Mother as the rightful Queen and the deaths off his siblings, legitimate or otherwise.

It was Andras' own answers to those question he posed that saw his attention return to the other Fae then. Andras assuring him that city grew its own food and that while it had no electricity it was a magic place all the same. The man explaining those portals that let them move between worlds and those Fae travel in and out of it. Those further questions played at his mind and yet, for now he silenced them. Dorian assured there would be a chance to discuss economic policies with the man later, in fact, Dorian was almost assured he could bring electricity to that city- if Andras desired it. Andras' assurance he intended to allow Sebastian and Amelia in on the secret of that city was not unanticipated and yet, truly, Dorian had little idea of how to even begin to explain that place to his lover. He hardly feared Sebastian would pose a threat to that city and yet both Sebastian and Amelia were inclined to the taste of Fae all the same. There was every chance that his own lover might simply not wish to be presented that...temptation at all. If Dorian even managed to explain that place to the man without Sebastian deeming him to be suffering some sort of illness in the first place. His head nodding to Andras all the same.

"I think that is fair, although I fear I might struggle to explain this to Sebastian at all I....have a great deal more questions. I think it is wonderful though, to see so many of our people alive and well. I never thought I would."

Outside that world the Fae population was all but extinct. To see so many of them alive was astounding! That suggestion they head to that lodge met with another nod even if Dorian so desired to explore that city just a little.

"Yes, please, after you."
